Okay so I've seen a lot of people wanting to see more Jian Yi and Zhan Zheng Xi developpement in their relationship (honestly me too i love JY sm)so 'im just going to point out certains things :
-first of after the kiss scene JY in chapter 143 wants things to be back to normal again as friends and even after his confession on chapter 209 JY reject himself because he thinks ZX doesn't feel the same way and it's true beccause for ZX JY is his bestfriend and he is not the type of guy that into romance.So he had to reject him but didn't want his feelings to be hurt so that's why he becomes more considerate and caring for him now because he cares about him that's for sure and he is an important person for him
-then we get to know that JY is leaving him for a long period of time after the events so his absence must affect him and what i'm trying to say rn is that in the future we will get to see more of their developpement mostly because they will be grown later and with time Zhan Zheng Xi will be able to grow romantical feelings for JY the more he spends time with him as it is hinted that they will live together.
So basically what I wanted to say was that the reason we are not getting any romantic developpement with them it is because their relationship will set up in the future not in middle school so we just have to wait(another 10 years yes...:'( ) for them to be a couple unlike HT and Mo rn who are now kinda in a relationship...
Anyway I love them all 4 and I'm looking forward to their adventures soon my babiiess <3
oh yeah I also wanted to say that guys they aren't main couple or characters they are all 4 the main characters weither before it was clear that it was JY and ZX but right now these 4 are all main characters of this story the way old xian built this up otherwise she wouldn't have bothered to draw JY and ZX's story lol ToT
