Only read a few chapters so I'm not sure, but the weird squid thing that is with the rifle might be like the spirit of the sniper from the prequel. That's why the MC is so good at shooting and has an instinct to survive.

Did some research and found out that the Korean chapters go up to like the 80s, it's just a matter of finding someone to translate it.
I would do it, if only I could speak Korean and had the talent.
