I had a feeling he'd overreacting. But it also looks like he pay attention enough to understand Sungkyung. Someone has shared snippets of the novel and it have skewed my perspective of the manwha adaption.
I still love the art and the story being told, but it really makes you wonder why Manwha artists (and editors too) encourage similar formats? Paws n Claws apparently have the same issue.

Short? Yes.
Sweet? Far from it.
Plot? If you wanna call it that.
Finished? Thankfully.
Recommend? Try at your own risk. Honestly, I skimmed through it and it only did so much.
The art? Could use a touch up.
Honestly, maybe 5/10 or 5.5. Why? Because I don't remember much of it other than the crazy art that i sometimes liked. Yes it has heavy themes, but I can stomach it in stories, so that's not the issue. I gave missing love 10/10.

It's been a while and I wanted to check in.
Reading how many hated the manwha and avid readers trying to minimize the hate in search of genuine conversation, I'd like to know! Did you ACTUALLY hate the story? Did you hate the characters and plot? Now that the hiatus is here, will you use the opportunity to drop it entirely? I'm not trying to jab or fight, I'm genuinely curious.
For avid readers, what did you like about the story? Maybe you see where the hate stems from? Now that it's on hiatus, did you re-read to catch any details or are you waiting for the return? I'm curious!
Finally, since Jinx is one n one and it doesn't seem to have a novel, what do you think will happen next? I'd like to just have a conversation with everyone while we wait. Based on what we last saw, I suspect that Jaekyung will become more aggressive as it his way of showing affection and Dan will spiral more because of his hopes of feeling wanted/needed by Jaekyung but also assuming that will never happen.
What about you?

personally liking the story, but yeah I can definitely tell why people hate it
- considerate uke in a vulnerable spot, seen 23471983274917239 times
- glorification of abuse, rape, exploitation of power dynamic, emotional manipulation
- wait no way...... toxic seme actually has problems (oh my god bro)
- EVERYONE is playing dumb
but what are you gonna do these are like staples here omg
I honestly really enjoyed the "JK fighting demons" part of the story with the ghost-looking thing and him drinking his life away that shit was HEATT I ate that up so bad, he was so pathetic he should have his leg broken next it was so short though I kinda wanted that to be explored a little more
it just reduced to migranes after that so, I feel like there was a missed opportunity to make JK seem a little more sympathetic to the audience
on a similar note, JK is clearly a narcissist, a hothead, abusive, obsessive, competitive, etc., etc. and that chapter where he's reeling isn't explaining any of it except for how he views himself and deals with his emotions i guess, I'm happy we scratched the surface of the character but its prolly just red hot lava under there
hopefully we get to see more insight on his character, because right now he's so nothing buger except just being angry all the damn time and not knowing why dan is so special to him and it's annoying to be fed that for 60 sumn chapters
i can't stand his sprinkles of green flags just to be crushed by a goddamn metor so I don't even gaf about his hug i wouldn't be surprised if he got shocked and punched dan into the water
i don't know if JK will turn out to be more aggressive in the next chapters I think he'll distance himself to continue drawing out their oscillating relationship but idk, dan might feel some reaffirmation from the hug given that he did show some feelings for him with all that lead up to his gift
can't drop I gotta know how it ends lol

I can see that from their perspective. Perhaps I've longed numb myself from Asian media and separate the 2 worlds, but when I do take things into account, it is pretty sad to watch Dan go through it.
The hug was a jumpscare to me at first, but I do understand what it symbolize and because of that , it made me smile a bit.
I still read the scene when he started drinking. It's not that I want to watch him suffer, but just what it meant. How we the audience know the truth while Dan is in the dark about it. I can't wait for Dan to find out! I also imagine Jae playing break up songs for "no reason" while he drinks.
I do agree, this is a slow process that feels like it should be faster but it's not and I can't really pin point where and why. I only assume that it's because there's not a lot of time skips like most Manga/Manwha/Manhua, so it feels slower. We're at 70 and it looks like Jae has admitted to something (kinda). We watch his process throughout the story but it did flop back n forth. Though, I'll say this: he always went forward. Even if he fell back, he still went forward.
That's also an interesting thought! Him finally stepping back! I'm excited to see! I'm happy to hear you enjoy it!

It was going to happen eventually. This story doesn't shy from the crazy these two are going through while also not excusing it.
Yes, lil'rim has abandoned issues but that doesn't excuse his behavior and actions.
Yes, Mini mart (his name escapes me) has so many issues that stems from his environment, but he's still a masochist who has a fuse that could reach a breaking point at any moment.
What I also like about this story is how it reminds me of Bonnie and Clyde (parts of it). (For those who don't know, they were crinimals who died together.)
Unlike Sangwoo and Yoon Bum, this fucked relationship is mutual insanity and I, along with many, are here for it.

Breaking rules I see? Tsk tsk. He's gonna lock you up if you keep breaking rules, buddy.
I know his mental state and all that, but I'm not really here to worry about it since there's more to see. I know what I signed up for when I started reading and I'm expecting deterioration. I want to know how far everyone will before things change (for the better or worse).
I was a bit confused as this seemed VERY incomplete. But I supposed this was to established how they came to be. Hopefully the side stories tie up loose threads.
