After reading the novel I'm so disappointed.
It was so good and their relationship so interesting until the smut arrived. I thought this would be one of the few where they actually don't make their first time rapey, but maybe I'm expecting to much from Korean BL.

like... their story was mostly fluffy and cute and then does a complete 180 when it comes to sex. It's not hot, it's just painful to read and doesn't fit the vibe of the story at all.
Completely ruined the whole story for me. Maybe I'll keep reading the manhwa and just skip the sex scene, I dunno. The seme turned kinda unlikable to me because of that so...

I think otherwise, the smut part was not even that detailed like other novels, their smex scent is not also that prequent just like the others. If u really don't like that part then skip it, because the story is already amazing enough how they expressed their love and support for each other.
In fact, I didn't even expect some wholesome and greenish characters from this type of manhwa. All in all, super recommended to try ( *¯ ³¯*)♡

I agree there are worse, but that doesn't change the fact that the way it was written didn't fit the story's usual vibe at all and was completely unnecessary.
Also I would've skipped the scene had I known beforehand, alas, I did not.
It's even worse because the author depicted the other guy trying to force himself on the MC as some vile creature, but when the ML does it 2 chapters later it's fine somehow.
There are so many ways the sex scene could've been great without being overly fluffy and keeping the situation of "ML fighting for control over himself" without making it as bad as it was.
If yaoi logic hadn't been at play (like usual), the MC would've bled heavily and fainted from pain and thank God for yaoi logic in these cases, because otherwise sex scenes like these would count as torture otherwise ╮(￣▽￣)╭

just rape and was completely unnecessary. It’s explained away as “pheromone shock” , but then also somehow also acknowledge as rape as well in the most around about way that I couldn’t even understand if the author thought their readers are stupid or just simply wouldn’t care. I money is on the latter given this genre and its audience.
I didn’t even mind the insinuated furry parts. But man don’t get me started on the fucking weird puppy jealousy arc, there is a way to write jealously and this was definitely not it.

I agree with you. I know the MC is traumatized by past events but I really hope he can become someone w brains/a bit sly/a little anger issues. I mean, we see the ML being like that all the time to the point of annoying sometimes. Then, the MC will 'unconsciously' spill some of his secrets here and there. I mean you have secrets! You need to lie a lot with a straight face to keep your secrets. But this MC is..haish.. His look is a tough type bott instead of the pretty/cute face bott but his personality is soooo timid (as of now). I need to keep reading to see his character development.
The side stories where totally unnecessary and pointless.
Author should've taken that opportunity to show a bit more epilogue or a poly alternate ending instead

Poly end would have been awesome (I’m way to poly myself lol so I never like the super jealous characters and/or infighting — I’m always like why not both?? With the Consent of all parties of course)
See the reason why I don’t even expect poly or want poly ending is because a lot of manhwas include jealousy and lack of consent. So I figured it wouldn’t work out haha.
But if there is an inclusive and respectful author that does make a poly story, I’d expect consent between parties as you said, and no jealousy—a little is fine, as long as discussed and won’t harm relationship.
I definitely wouldn’t mind a short poly alternative ending. Not harem but an established poly to be specific haha.
