well personally i live in a very Catholic country where a lot of politicians use religion as some basis for their policies. A conservative pope could influence our country’s laws and not for the better, so yeah it’s pretty important

i mean christianity is really influential, it forms a lot of peoples morals, though modern society is slowly evolving into atheism, christians are still among us, if the pope is not good, that means christians are gonna act just as bad in the future…… i mean even politics is kind of influenced by religion, like in western countries where there’s more atheists, they’re more acceptable pf gay people.. and people of color.. and so on

Tbh i’ve been reading more about him online, now there are reports saying the allegations were fabricated but idk how true that is. At least it’s said he’s more in-line with Francis’ views and has spent 20+ years serving in Peru, we’ll just have to see
