I was ecstatic when I found out that this had a novel adaptation , I really recommend that you give the novel a shot I think it does a slightly better job of being serious than the manga does. Also I find that I prefer the novels cover and description of the ML then I do the manga. The one thing that I do find to be a downside with both the novel and manga is that they whitewashed the FL, they turned her from a green goblin to a white elf like being when she evolved. I kinda wished that they had kept her green. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
But that's just my preference.
Anywho go give the novel a shot, I think you will like it.
