Some of you all see a character inconvenience the main character/couple and straight up hating them to the point of wanting them dead not even considering any complexity the story might have given them
This is both about blondie, who yes does do a ton of stupid crap but considering his circumstances and from a writing perspective it make sense and abt the villain couple which like have so much potential for their own spin off story I am not even joking. I enjoyed their characters tremendously I cannot believe so many people here want them dead lol. I realize they are trying to kill mc but these bitches act like cartoon villains with more braincells, they are way too fun to just die plz
It's fine to dislike a character, just kinda find it sad some here either don't realize why they act the way they do or try to get invested in any way in them because they aren't the main characters which kinda sucks but oh well ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I totally agree with what youre saying here, i couldnt have said it better. Some ppl just dont understand or dont want to understand the reasoning behind the side characters actions and how it adds to the story and makes it better
Dude never had a proper parental figure in his life and was abuse throughtout his early childhood by the person who was supposed to protect and care for him by being THE PARENT. It's not suprising Seolho acts immature and erratic at times.
Ikr? it's like they didn't bother to get in into the story much. Like we get it, he's done a lot of stupid shit, but it's like they don't even bother trying to understand his circumstances and just turns a blind eye into his story. I'm sorry but their the kind of people that would blame someone solely because of one mistake instead of looking into more of the story.
I'm mixed on how I feel about this story because on one hand it has a very interesting and good potrayal of an avoidant attachment style (and also probably autistic lol) person and them slowly starting to be able to have a more secure attachment style, I'd love to read more stories exploring things like that
On the other hand, GOD IT IS GENIUNLY PAINFUL TO READ. Like reading the last 15 or so chapters just made me feel physical pain because these characters cannot clear cut communicate if their life depended on it. Which listen in this case it's kinda more realistic but godsdamn I was suffering hard <3

HONESTLYYY I actually at one point was out loud getting mad at them the miscommunication pissed me off to no end and then I realized it’s probably what I do as well and it made it very realistic but the suffering was very much there especially during the break up era

It does not try to romanticise Oda and his actions towards Katou at all, it's all shown like a nightmare come true towards Katou
I wish this hadn't been a one-shot because I feel it could have been a geniune masterpiece had we been shown a slower descent into madness with both these characters.
Neithertheless, it is a very unique story and I'm still glad it exists
So I just bought this manga for 3€ at the second hand sextion of the comic/manga shop and it was very mid but like damn at least it was interesting and honestly we need more pirate yuri ngl

Why is the story trying so hard to villainize the ex like, he is right. In any other better written story he'd have been a positive influence to the mc but here it's framed like he's Satan incarnate for daring to think that JK is and asshole (which is true) and would throw Dan away in a heartbeat (which is also not a wrong assumption to make given JK's track record) but oh no he is so much worse than JK for daring to leech off of him.... a rich pro wrestler who got everything and doesn't gaf abt being leeched off of anyways...?

Also there’s nothing that makes him a piece of trash even if he is pissed (which he has every right to be anyhow). Yes, that's how the story is framing him. That's why I said that in any other piece of media he'd be a positive influence but in this one he is villainized because he is supposed to be the petty cRAzy eX even though what he is saying is objectively true and usually would be said by somebody out of concern rather than pettiness...

Geniunly in what world would these bodyguards not understand that this man cannot speak english and they might need to get an interpreter, why are they so needlessly vile what's the purpose except to show that at this moment huge asshole JK is a saint in comparision to them akshually

And Dan falling in love with huge asshole JK makes no sense (from a writing standpoint in a manhwa that claims to have romantic components) because they only had a slither of romantic tension and almost all their encounters were forced sexual ones
Now if this were a psychological story it would make way more sense for him to "fall in love" with huge gaping asshole JK because it could be him mistaking this feeling of love with the fact that he is basically the only person who showed him common decency but otherwise is a huge abusive gaping asshole to him and he fails to rationalize that.
BUT IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A PSYCHOLOGICAL STORY IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A ROMANTIC STORY
This needs way more than 6 chapters. It is a really intriguing story but sadly it gets limited by the little amount of time it can build itself up, thus not being able to be fleshed out more which this typa story deffo needs
Also not a lot of people are talking about how mc is also just an absolutely awful person like the guy didn't seem to have a problem with getting a father killed (who yes is horrible too but mc didn't even know nor care abt that) and slapping that father's child in the face right afterwards, the guy has probably done some actual horrible shit. And he doesn't seem to have changed or even want to change into a better person either. I fw his characterizarion such a shame it's kinda wasted here
But yeah I read it as a what comes around goes around story where both are absolutely awful people.
