probably not until he sees them side by side like he did the cats. and we see a lot of hints that they will never truly be side by side. at the first mention of them their faces are blurred out, hinting at the in ability to tell the difference between them, and at the second meeting he’s much too drunk to even tell they were two real people. they’re also super intent on not being caught in the same spot together. so i imagine when he does realize they aren’t the same person, it’ll be the climax of the story.
