Its just my opinion... But I think when the blondie get involved by calling his friend to see that, he ruins everything for the doctor. I feel the doc wanted to make the uke rely on him, that's why he invited the father's colleague and whatsoever, so that the uke will be more anxious and rely on him often.
After the college friend fucked the uke, I guess it ruins the whole thing cuz the uke doesn't seem to care anymore and he seems more confident (?). I saw the reason why the doc let the brother comes cuz he just gave up and let the uke found out the truth.
Idk why but I feel the doc knows that the uke probably was just manipulated to thinking that he killed his mother. So, basically when the uke and the brother fucked, it's a realization that both of them are almost the same, it's all about their father. And that makes him remember the past that he tries so hard to forget.
When he hits the realization, he realized that he can move on and left everything behind since it was not his fault. The uke doesn't love the doc, he just wanted someone that he can rely on. Just like the earliest chapter, the doc describe him as a child and now he's an adult, he can leave his nest, meaning that he can move away from the place where the source of his trauma happened.
I think the doc actually 'love' the uke in his own way but it's kinda twisted. So, yeah, I'm just concluding that the uke didn't need the doc anymore since he accepted that it was not his fault in the first place and move away.

Tbh, I didn't hate the characters.. I think they are well made for the dark plot and the slow burn to character development as well.. but then again, this is just my own opinion.

Well, I read the raws and I don't understand Korean much so I might be wrong. And i don't remember their names much...
Dongwoo and sujin parents are engaged, and both of them knew about this and decided to confront the father, revealing their relationship. Sujin met dongwoo's dad and the dad had this sudden change of heart after seeing how much dongwoo loves sujin and turns him better. So, the father cancelled the marriage with the mother and luckily the mother accepted it well, probably cuz they wanted the best for their sons. So yeah, they didn't get married I guess.
