So I remember there being a comment when this had like 10 chapters or so where they said that when Cosette's mother was chased out she was pregnant with Cosette at the time and she was dying thus she made a deal with a demon, I think, to save her child but both died and the demon took possession Cosette's body. So like I'm looking at this and when I saw the magician guy get startled looking at her I think the demon's aura is what he saw and that's why he got sinister vibes from her(〜￣△￣)〜 but pls correct me if I remembered the og novel spoiler wrong
