You saved him from those assholes who wanted to use and hurt him; you showed him his love was worth something and that he was worth loving, and now you decide to lose your shit and lock him away like he can't be trusted. I get the past trauma, but using that as an excuse to do whatever you want just perpetuates it onto him. What's worse than this, me getting all riled up over a work of fiction, lol, guess that's a compliment to the author.
We all know where this story is headed, it's a usual "trope" used in countless yaoi stories but this is one I'm really having trouble accepting. If you go back to the start and review all he (Sora) did and allowed to be done to him (Taiyo that is), I can't see that he's done near enough of anything to be forgiven yet alone given a chance at a relationship. Yeah he feels bad now, and he's reflecting on his "bad" behavior and past actions, but this feels really rushed which has ruined the story for me. I know it's yaoi, a work of fiction, but I don't think that means I shouldn't expect a better story or a more realistic reason for a sadistic rapist to be forgiven and then embraced as a lover. Yes, this is just my opinion, but after so many chapters I just feel the ending is being rushed and it makes all the storyline up to now kinda pointless.
This story didn't need more than 180 CH to end the way it will. Rape after rape just to end as the typical story where the rapist is easily forgiven as if all his actionns weren't that bad. The difference with most other mangas with this same tired structure, is that they don't drag the whole thing for almost 200 CH. They know that there is no point in making the whole ''story'' so long. When the ''story'' has nothing to tell beyond rape scenes.
I was so happy when he saved him from that red haired prick, seemed to give him the courage to stand up for himself and refuse to be used anymore. This however is taking a turn, possibly dark, that makes me wonder where he's going with this. I know he loves him dearly but this is bordering on obsessive behavior and will ruin everything, damn, just when I thought Suha was finally going to get the happiness he deserves.
Anyone want to spoil the ending for me, I'd really appreciate it. I read the raws to chap. 20 (you can find the link throughout the comments) and I don't feel this is gonna be your typical blackmail/forced sex/hate turning to love scenario. I don't want to give anything away or spoil for anyone, but I don't think I'll follow this but would love to know how it ends.
There is no plot device, no action or lack of action that will convince me that Taiyo can or should (realistically) forgive Sora for the horrific way he treated him. I don't care how sorry he is or how much he regrets what he did, there is no amount of "reflection" on his part that can make me believe that Taiyo should forgive him (and we all know she's headed in that direction) and the two of them wind up happy together. There were many times this story could have successfully turned in that direction only for Sora to do something cruel again. Yeah, I know I should stop bitching and just drop this but honestly I can't because I've got to see how the author is gonna fix (or not) this.
