Jiho is human. I think as readers we have more context but if you were with someone and they kept getting worse and you thought them patching things with their mom would help you would. Oh near the end, the boss goes against the higher ups and they try to murder him. The ml believes he is killed and manages to escape with the help of the boss's friend. However, the boss shows up and reveals it was all a part of a plan to cut ties with the underground club.
