honestly like everyone hating the mom but like she literally had her kid at like 15 /16 she lost her youth to that. she had wasted potential that crushed her bc no one even saw her as the duchess or even a young girl just growing up only as a fucking vessel for the next heir. that shit can crush u only knowing ppl care about the child u are going to have and on top of tht during her pregnancy she had to go through so much but all tht was said was thts bad for the bby be careful or dont do tht. and when she tried and help the duke all she was met with was u shouldnt worry about tht. like wtf she was trying her best and im not justifying her being a bad mother bc yea tht will also have the kid having issues but yall hating on her like tht aimt fucking cool like after reading her backstory it just makes one fucking feel for her （￣へ￣）
Also like at some point she started being afraid of him and that reflected on the kid who looked exactly like him. This story honestly has so many layers it's such an amazing story, actúally tackling issues like this
