I think it's because of the prophecy that saying the Principality of Zenos are the bad guys. And since Ahwin/Ahuin never see the ML directly harm the saintess (but he saw the curse mark), he began questioning, I think. And the fake saintess is a saintess at the age 15 (i forgot). So people would think there's no way a child would make a prophecy like that, I guess?? Idk, there's too much of plothole tbh (づ￣ ³￣)づ
