The man is kind of a jerk, but the college guy is cute.
Maybe he's being such an ass because he suspects he might also be gay himself but doesn't want to travel down that road of self-discovery.
But I mean like he let the college guy stay with him for a week and that already was incredibly nice of him to do so. The college kid being gay was out of no where so ofc a straight male from a country not as open to gay people is shocked lmao. Even thought he went too far to kick him out I wouldn’t call him a jerk.

Also he’ll go down that road of self discovery either way lmao this is some sweet sweet yaoi after all.

I also dont think he’s a jerk... the guy was already very conflicted between letting him stay or not (leaning more towards not letting him stay ofc)... and he just baaarely allowed the decision to let him stay. But then the other guy says he’s gay... and I think it’s reasonable of him to change his mind based on that (he’s just being cautious). You can be unprejudiced but still be cautious. (A girl wouldn’t let a random guy stay in her house but that doesn’t mean she’s prejudiced).
It's not that he said no you can't stay b/c you're a stranger that I said made him kind of a jerk. It's that he agreed at first and then forcefully shoved him out when the dude said he was gay. I get the jump cut and forcefulness was maybe supposed to be comedic but straight people assuming gay people will go after anyone is a common damaging stereotype. And that he backtracked his humanity and compassion like that. That's why I said kind of a jerk.
But what happened in the chapter 2 is totally reasonable considering what the guy did the night before.
Though, I am still suspicious that he's also repressing the fact that he himself is gay. I mean, I've been closeted and he reminds me a lot of me and my gay friends.
I understand your point better now of how the mc was fearful of the gay guy and I am also bitter that those who are straight have doubts of the gay people around them as I am also closeted as well but this is Japan. Most Asian countries do not accept gay people as well, people. Personally,I’m Chinese and my parents and my older family members definitely do not support gay people. It does suck however Japan is thankfully more accepting of LBGTQ people. (I mean come on with all this yaoi and yuri?) But what is most important is that this is just a yaoi manga that is made for people to enjoy and has events that don’t really happen in real life and for just comedic purposes. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Yuri and yaoi are fiction and entertainment (and often fetishism) and no indication of actual LGBT people having rights and being treated fairly. Yaoi all you want, gay men in Japan are still marrying women to please their families. People still get fired or have to leave their jobs due to harassment for being gay. The gay guy here is even lying to his mom. That's very real. Watch Gaycation on YouTube, Japan edition. It's very enlightening and educational. Things are certainly improving but never mistake the existence of entertainment for women as an indicator of the real lives of gay men.
I don't trust him either tbh. Something's off about him. Can't wait to find out the truth! Some troubled past? Pfffbahahahha.
