if you want her to willingly want to help you, maybe dont give her more reason to side with the hackers? all he's done so far is victim blame, gaslight and cut her off. he fails to even take accountability for the victims they couldn't protect. he's so incompetent at his job yet he's judging her so harshly when they aren't even 100% sure there was any crime she did commit to begin with.

"least you can do is fake your pleasure for me, your ugly after all jk jk" "the reason your looking for a job is because your preparing for having my child right?" "she doesnt have the balls to cheat on me" "what a fine WIFE I have" What a Disgusting Pig.
she's apart of the problem too, any sensible self respecting person would have filed for a divorce by now. she's obviously not happy in the marriage and her passivity has only made things worse. cheating is not the solution, folks.

All good points but on his behalf...come on, the dude HAS to know the relationship feels off and that something isn’t right. But he’s content to ignore the fact his wife seems distant or that she’s holding things back because honestly he doesn’t really care and doesn’t wanna know oooor he’s just an idiot. There are so many signs the relationship is not working. On her behalf I get it because sexuality is so so hard to figure out and even accept. Especially with compulsory heterosexuality and internalized homophobia...what I mean to say is I see why SHE hasn’t ended it and uprooted her life by acknowledging her sexuality and romantic interest because she knows what the issue is and she’s scared and has only ever been taught how to live like straight people do and she’s clinging to a sense or normality and she doesn’t really love him romantically so she is rather emotionally numb(?) to how it effects him. But why the hell doesn’t he address any of it!? So many men irl don’t wanna acknowledge problems in relationships or when their partner is unhappy or worse they can’t even see it when it’s obvious. I’m going to assume this isn’t his first relationship with a woman so hoooow can he not see that she’s not that in to him?? Some men are content to just let it be...but that’s how you get stuck in loveless marriages for no reason other than to just be married

He fails to protect them at every opportunity. first, he doesnt shelter them in anyway from their mothers abuse nor act as a source of emotional support for them during that time, briefly shows up just to introduce himself into the plot then fucks off for what feels like 50 chapters, FINALLY shows up to save them after being ambiguously on the verge of death.. only to then get stabbed leaving his back wide open to enemies while having a casual conversation with the twins.. to which he's surprised! and fails to prevent the kidnapping anyways despite the earlier advantage he had. You had ONE job! (╯°Д °)╯. . m y. . h e a d . . h u r t s
second princes guardian is best guardian. debate me.

left to read the story somewhere else for a while because of too much melodrama in the thread about jennette, y'know that kind of thing.. came back and one of the most recent posts is what-do-you-know? STILL going on about her character, which I think it kinda of funny, because she doesnt even play a big part in the story, she hardly has any agency on her own, things are usually decided for her by other characters; shes not even the one plotting the evil schemes that are screwing our Main Hero's over but shes getting all of this credit for it like shes some diabolical mastermind or something..
I think people are just used to having some "two faced bitch" to hate in these plots but jennette fails to live up to their expectations so they get frustrated that shes not fulfilling that role properly and hate on her for the complete opposite instead:
"But! shes too naive" "shes too "NICE" "shes boring!"
it seems like your screwed either way jannette ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

although the prince said he was justified, she didn't appear to be acting at all. she was just as afraid of the monster tree saying it wanted to protect her.. as she was of the man attempting to cut her down, I noticed she was also surprised by it bowing to her and that doesnt make any sense if she were acting. in the end.. she even tried in desperation to reach out for the prince's help before being killed by him.
I dont get the impression she was lying, and if thats true, he cut down a innocent woman who's only crime was not being aware that she (either was a witch but didn't know..) or magic was placed on her somehow to fool the tree & prince into thinking she was one, and there's some deeper conspiracy going on..
either way her father looks so grief stricken, I feel bad for him.
but in the end he would be no different taking his anger out on an oblivious party and child, I hope he isn't cooperating with or encouraging her bullies, but its starting to seem like that's the case. why cant he just find a way to get his revenge elsewhere? reveal the dudes affair with the gym lady, expose the father to his family (daughter) as a unfaithful cheater? reveal his true persona to them. there are plenty of other ways he can negatively influence his bullies life, he doesnt have to be inflicting the same kind of damage on someone he should have otherwise been identifying with as a victim himself. as it is, there really are no likable characters in this story.
