its gunna be the haughty tsundere with the teasy laidback seme. they already sort of have a history of animosity with each other, unlike big bro's one sided pinings from afar..
they really aren't taking into account the complications that could arise from these sorts of courting games built on lies. you never let someone else stand in and woo the person you like, come on! your asking for trouble （￣へ￣）
they sure hammer it over our heads enough, with yuri pointedly calling his face attractive more so then with anyone else (or any other of his good qualities) not to mention his royal heritage too.
just saying... some yuri action or a diff character would have been less predictable

we are stuck with yet another typical transmigrated cinnamon roll, that is selfless, cute, and doesnt get pissed at anything that happens to her. she'd even be merciful towards the people who enslaved her. she has to be "likable" no matter what, even if this makes her flat and uninteresting.
they spend a total of one chapter going over her slave life to label her as nothing but a [victim of circumstance] ..then she flashes those pretty eye color changing eyes of hers at the emperor.. and she's declared royalty. just like that... all her problems are gone and she didn't even need to do anything herself.
I want to see a main lead that works hard to progress and overcome challenges they face on their own. why should I care about a protagonist that doesnt give me any reason to want to root for them?
I agree but thinking about it she was trained to not to talk back or show emotions to anyone above her cause she won't get to eat or slapped.
but yeah the way she just went with them is kinda boring but also maybe she just didn't want to get slapped or something. they should've shown her emotions more or something.
and maybe her struggles are only gonna start once she reaches the capital because of the nobles or a brother or both

Ah glad I’m not alone. All these stories follow the same trope, with the same characteristics. I definitely would’ve enjoyed it if she was paranoid and not trusting of others due to her growing up- I guess I would’ve liked this if she was a normal girl from this world and not having memories of some past life Or whatever of her being older. I wish to see actual plot of these stories, not the same old same old. Another story I dropped. This is of my own opinion of course, everyone has separate preferences and these are mine
I think its because they were slaves their entire lives that they went to easily, after all, if a Royal, a scary one no less, says that you are a princess and you are going with them, you better nod and go with the flow, after all, who they are to go against the orders? In their heads is asking for death.
often times in these types of stories.. making an mc pitiful in the eyes of the reader is an easy quick way out of making a character relatable.
just by an author giving a protagonist a tragic life situation.. (abusive parents, being a slave) it acts as a sort of excuse for being lazy and not giving a your main lead any defining personality or motivations. then.. whenever the readers get frustrated with the lack of growth. they can always chalk it up to a past life of victim hood. why do you want your lead character to be defined entirely around their helplessness??

I found it compltley unnecessary the author even added in the fact she was a transmigrated soul. it has no place in the plot, and it made her lack of knowledge of basic words kind of laughable (given that she was seen older in her past life around 16-18) I wouldnt have nitpicked if she was actually just a child from that world.
why do so many authors do this? children that are supposed to be in their thirty's acting like their 8...

I swear, I've read too many isekais where the protag is some abuse victim or something.. and yea that's sad and all.. but it's like the authors really couldn't have bothered themselves to try to write a character at all.. that we gradually came to sympathize & root for as the plot went along. they just wanted readers to instantly side and like the MC because they are victims
or when the ML is characterized as some kind of cruel abusive jerk to the FL the majority of the story, but then they throw in tragic past as some excuse for his cruelty near the end to make him sympathetic. people really cant be bothered can they?

meanwhile.. there is helio who's has this servant master dynamic with her 24/7, thats why I cant get into any kind of ship with these two. that part where he was licking/kissing her toes just creeped me out. can't they have a normal relationship..?
I know people feel like they have to be on the "MC"s (tho I feel like shori counts as an mc too) side no matter what, and never question their motives or decisions. always see them as the "right" or "good" side, or make excuses for them in every circumstance.. but I despise aizawa and I kind of stopped feeling bad for him a while ago I wish he would just fuck over the assholes career and promotion (dudes hasn't shut up about it since the beginning) instead of playing Highschool Bully Host Club lol
Look like heinous trashabags? this story is seriously lacking in likable characters (i dont care about most of the ones introduced at all) let alone any decent character development. Of course EVERYONE has to be out to hurt the protagonist, even the maids lmao, they really dont get enough of victimizing her. when she planned to escape I knew the author wouldn't let her succeed on her own, that would involve giving your main lead (say it with me now..) AGENCY which she doesnt have. things just happen TO HER, but she doesnt move anything to action herself.
as you go along..you notice, its a staple with a lot of female protagonists..
male leads often change the course of story with their decisions so it feels like it matters more. things move and change in accordance to them. I'm not saying there aren't exceptions but generally this is the way it goes.. (〜￣△￣)〜 I just wish the lead wasn't depicted so weak

idk mcs father (ser zackery) is depicted pretty harshly too but I'm pretty sure he's not biologically her father so I think we're good (￣∇￣")

this is another plot with a cardboard personality FL, who's oblivious, surrounded by a sausage fest of men pining for her, because she's just sooooo amazing, they fight each other to win her (yay, girl empowerment?) gotta say these set ups sure do get stale after the 549th time reading them (￣∇￣") maybe I should go on break and read some BL or something.. lol

I was thinking that too lol, I think some of these story’s play on the cliches fairly well but this one just bothers me sm since the fl and everyone around her are so boring?
