I feel like they’re pretty realistic characters. Sure, they’re both a little superficial but tbh most people are, and that’s fine. I really like this story as a change of pace from stories where the characters are only ever perfect human beings, but I do hope both characters change for the better and actually fall in love.
Ones like “Stuck in my sister’s dating sim” or “I became a lousy side top” where the MC transmigrates into a dating sim/BL story or any sort of BL isekai story. Thank you!

MC was a financial advisor or sth on wall street but got fired bc it got out that he was gay so he goes to California to vacation, bumps into the ML who is a software engineer at a startup and they go on a date and have a one night stand (I think) but after that the ML says he never wants to see him again (sth like that idk). The MC coincidentally gets hired at the same company as the ML but the ML kinda hates the MC. There was this plot twist that the ML knew the MC a long time ago and liked him back then or sth like that.

I love the story and characters but if we had gotten a few chapters of backstory leading up to the betrayal I would’ve eaten that shit uppppp!! Love me some yellow flag characters though <3
