This more of an in depth explanation and I’m not totally sure if my information is correct, but from what I know, this webtoon was originally a novel (kinda obvious I think) i believe the novel was originally made/written on Kakao (which is a big novel, webtoon, and other stuff platform/company that Koreans use)(there’s an app for it but u’ll have to “be in Korea” kinda how u get Chinese TikTok if u know). The story got popular enough/the author approved of the story on becoming a webtoon on Kakao. The story got popular and most likely some people wanted to share the story to America, they translated it and stuff like that and probably shared it on sites like this. Then some apps asks the author officially if they can translate the story to America, like tappytoon. So to sum it up the original was from an app called Kakao, the official English translation is from an app called TappyToon, so if u wanna support the author u can read sololeveling there, but of course there is a pay to read system. Sorry, I've only seen raws for up to chapter 7, so I don't know what happens after that. Last I heard the manga was still ongoing, but I believe the author has some health issues so that might change in the future.
