i actually really like how this story describes seno’s past and chitose approaching him with kindness and patience so to read that author’s note was so fucking disturbing
genuinely such a good story i always find myself getting so excited when there’s an update! the characters are well-written, the progression is smooth, the dialogue is funny, and the art is beautiful… i feel like that’s so rare nowadays
this definitely has darker and more tragic elements than by the grace of the gods, but the pacing is lowkey horrible… at times it feels like it was written by a teenager
i understand the beauty and poetic nature of this manga. i really do. and it makes total sense that it ended where it did for an even more dramatic effect. …… but there’s still a part of me that wants a second volume of shion realizing noshi is growing horns out of unrequited love for him and them becoming happy together
