Ok, so I got a slightly swayed (my opinion didn't change tho that she should be with ml, and I missed him very much this ch too) so I went back to 1st ch to see if she really misunderstood. Here's verbatim what he said on the phone call (I took these from the 'official translation' but the other translation almost said 96% of same stuff so I don't think there is anything lost in translation)

I mean either I'm dumb or this is completely different from what's he saying now. After hearing that, I don't think there was ANY miscommunication. I think he likes her completely platonically as a friend. Why is he trying to get her back even after he knows she likes someone else now, I dunno.
