Honestly... after reading a bit of the raws, I feel like manhwa caught up with the cheating fad (i've noticed a few manhwas lately where theres a cheater in the relationship) and so it created a loophole by creating an ambiguous break up...
I honestly wanna find some kind of flaw the boyfriend has to be broken up with but I feel like i'd just be feeding into this nonsense because it's more of a plot device with no real true answer... and sometimes relationships be like that? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Ugh... I didn't know I was reading the manga version of "Much ado about Nothing". Seriously the main plot finishes and then we get lumped with this rubbish plot of her making the duke run in circles.
It makes me thing of a ribbon tied so neatly on a present, but theres extra ribbon... going on forever... and ever... and I wanna snip it!
Tl;dr I honestly get the feeling that the author ran out of steam around the ending... and they finished the ending too soon only to realize they had to find a way to stretch it out of fear of ending the series too soon.
This is borderline worse than reading a Chinese narrative of every cliché drama, its just cliché melodrama...
you know... I had high hopes, but honestly this story is just a bit of a poor love child between Solo Leveling and Tower of God. The story's plot is interesting at the start, but it kinda peters off into Chinese storytime, where the main character just gets every random esoteric op item and just drastically becomes op and never loses cus "Chinese main lead powers". It also doesn't hold a candle to how Tower of God develops characters with depth, this story kinda just adds in a few random characters with pretty minimal backstory.
Anyways... my main issues with the story are:
1. its pretty confusing how he has so much knowledge from his brother's life but for a tower that changes often im confused how he gets everything exact.
2. he's a solo player but I've seen him work too often with others for me to consider him a solo player. and...
3. He doesn't get any tribulations or curses to balance out his opness... just minor speed bumps.
My first 2 reasons are more of a "poor continuity" issue on the authors part, the 3rd reason is a depth issue but that has to do more with how boring Chinese plots tend to be more than anything.
Anyways tl;dr its ok to read, i'd give it better than average.
if you stayed to read my whole rant then i'd recommend these to read to see what is REALLY good:
- A Returner's magic should be special (id assume most people are aware of it)
- Saihate no Paladin (sooooooo good)
- Raid (a little better than this story but art is a bit bland) and...
- To you, the immortal (maybe not in the exact same realm of an adventure story to the others but its a TRUE definition on how a to make a SOLO CHARACTER WITH DEPTH!!!! and its also not for the faint hearted imo)
yes but a lot of the story has influence from Chinese stories, if you go read any translated Chinese novel (or manhwa) with a cultivation plot, you'll see the same trend over n over where the character gets op just by breathing. It even has a few typical fodder characters (you'll see ALOT in Chinese stories where theres evil characters whose only purpose is to die for the main character to grow)
Coming from chapter 219 in the novel I'd say to give it a chance
(Him being solo was more of him not trusting anyone)
And no the tower does not change, everyone can get information on trials of the floors but the hidden pieces his brother knew of was because he was a high ranker or found them himself
I don't want to spoill but this part of the story is prep for what come
....
Prepare tissues
As the manga is after a novel, they did skip a few explanations to make it easier to read. I started reading the novel and it's quite good. I also love Solo Leveling and I see them as quite separate, both nice to read but damn different plot. A bunch of mangas have the OP stuff, Solo Leveling just does it better, and this manga's revenge plot is really nicely done! Like, I myself was feeling so damn angry that his brother was betrayed. Like it was MY brother! The next chapters will introduce a lot more plot and damn close fights and make this manga even better

You can also find it being translated on wattpad I believe
i was reading chapter 23 when I noticed chapter 24 came... but before I knew it I read that...ooof. The feeling of eating a snack so fast that if you don't even realize its gone.
Sidenote, I kinda feel like the next chapter would be a good place bring back some of the past life references... I notice all too many isekai just forget that point of characterization and just make the character assimilate to the new charater to the point that it loses the right to even be called an isekai…
this is clearly some lame fad... a girl with a fiancé gets drugged n knocked up by a stranger and ambiguously has a child that is ambiguously sent to the father... the fiancé mistreats her and she eventually gets with the baby daddy. I read this same plot but the baby daddy was some rich pseudo vampire.
eugh… the first chapter REEKS of Chinese clichés...
From the whole... I'll do my best sempai... to the woe is me's, he's such a poor potato.... to the whoa his singing is sooooo amazing..
(its a school song stfu if you're in a talent agency you go prepared with a better song and if its just a modelling agency, im sure the staff would be confused who is singing a school song...)
oop i meant to like
damn my fat fingers
Don't worry, I have done it for you.
