I reread chapter 15 and the way Director park was with Suha made him genuinely happy. So all the comments saying he's a asswipe, his actions may seem like it but his intentions are different. Looking back from chapter 15 to now I can tell that Director park really has fallen deeply in love with suha and just doesn't know how to control it, Suha not making it easy for him because he sleeps with other people. Even though Suha says he wants a no strings attached relationship, I can't shake the face Director park makes when he has Suha all to himself. He seems like the happiest person in the world and I don't want anyone to take that away from him. Anyways love this chapter I'm excited to see how this plays out. (≧∀≦)
No, he's an asswipe because he chose the office of all places and then even showed the half naked Suha in an intimate state to a business associate, without permission and without telling him, and letting Suha continue working with that person with no idea that they had already seen him like that and been shown his and then director's supposedly secret fling!
Touché! Men are emotionally stunted compared to women, due to a varied scope of factors. Yet, a major element contributing to said issue, is societies stigma regarding men being even a smidge effeminate, let alone homosexual. Being taught on an international level that one has to be akin to &/or portray aspects of an asshole/douchebag, merely to be recognized as "manly". Said stigma, coinciding with the infliction of a trauma via what appears to be mental/emotional abuse from parental figure, during pubescence &onward to the present, would mutate anyones communication skills via relaying ones emotions in personal relationships, especially that of a partner/significant other. As well as, form a tendency &/or mentality to be possessive &/or jealous, with regards to the sheer lack of having examples of healthy close relationships growing up, as well as personally developing &maintaining said relationships throughout life. Thus, the few personal connections made are considered precious &guarded as such. With "guarding" being how ones possessiveness &jealousy would be perceived.
As such, I do believe he has symptoms of a societal stigma inflicted upon him &obvious signs of trauma from a childhood experience(s) [albeit, a lone incident or a continual one], which was/were never clearly addressed in a healthy manner. However, his love is unequivocally blatant &genuine, despite his methods of displaying it. Not to mention, when reviewing their exchanges throughout the entirety of the story thus far, Directors love interest Mr. Lee, despite being oblivious/aloof of Directors love for him &subsequent hints, Lee is more than happy to oblige Director. With only one out of all scences [ch.25], during which Director has a range attack induced by jealousy &possessiveness over seeing Lee with a past hookup. Director pulls Lee away from man &up to a hotel room, where he proceeds to interrogate Lee, who lies about having slept with previous man, pushing Director to the edge with his love for Lee &subsequently ______ entails [I don't know what word to use, for it wasn't a seduction, nor was it a rape. Lee clearly doesnt attempt to stop or rebuke Director, just exclaims on the speed of fucking &disbelief at instant insertion, so idk]. My point is, he isn't an asshole and is simply a product of the society that formed him &the circumstances that raised him... as we ALL fucking are.
End on chap. 11, he showed the half-naked, love-bitten sleeping Suha to Miss Choi. And given the way the director talked to her when Miss Choi confronted him about it later, it was not an accident... he wanted her to know he was "gay and taken", without actually having to say it directly (but his way of "telling" her was indeed unwarrantly aggressive, and with no consideration to Suha's privacy).
This chapter is way in the future from the main story and I checked again and I saw that yu-yang was wearing a ring, don't know if he always had that ring but it's news to me, at the breakfast scene when lihuan touched yu-yang, lihuan had a ring too. Is this couple rings or are they married???
They're both wearing rings on their middle left hand (middle finger).

Let's get this out of the way. Rape in real life is bad okay we all agree... good. Now in chapter 38, Dojun said that he would never do that if he was drunk right and he also said that he didn't remember anything. But the fact that he did remember changes everything. He knew what he was doing, he was just in shock and denial. It was not rape, to be honest we didn't even get a full sex scene so we don't even know what went down that night only bits and pieces. I'm just tired of reading the comments to only hear about this rape that may or may not have happened. Just enjoy the damn webtoon it's not even real, if it was then we can talk about it and say it's not okay but this is FICTIONAL!!!!! okay! don't attack me just my opinion. ┗( T﹏T )┛
I just wanted to note in some instances you cannot give consent when under the influence of drugs and alcohol because you're more likely to be subject to coercion and pressure. Just something to take note of in real life circumstances if any of you guys find yourself in a situation like this. That being sad I do recognize that Dojun was not explicitly pressured/coerced into having sex.
Just a thought....
what if both of them were drunk, would it still be rape?
Not saying that's what happened just a thought
lol yeah I was scared people will take it too literal and then not like me
You don't know what your talking about. I can't believe you!!
please coerce me. A little pressure to make it easy for me to do what I wanted to do anyway but couldn't handle having to say it out loud is a very very good thing!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you dumb or what?
it might have not been of sane mind that gave consent. But it was probably the real Dojun when he did consent.
Like...when someone finally has a break down, whoever is around may see the true side of that person rather than the front they always put up.
And you are right, we dont really know what happened that night.
For all we know....he threw up and passed out and the doctor cleaned him up...and did nothing else.
Or they could have gone all the way.....who is to say.
Was it of sound mind? Probably not.
Was it mutual....so far...it seems to be.
He wasn't completely off his rocker apparently...he could still think....talk and be fairly active. And according to the latest chapter...he wasn't pressured...and he wasnt coerced. Dojun seemed to ask for it on his own...the doctor simply going along with his demands.
So is it rape.....yes and no.
Rape for the fact, he was under the influnce and possibly unaware of his thought process.
No, for the fact, he still seemed.to be aware of his feelings and position, he even got angry at the doctor even when drunk. So he was still highly aware of himself as a person and what was going on.
But probably not thinking totally clearly since his emotions and true self may have taken over his thought process.
you sound pretty mature. Enough brains to understand a little nuance, a little psychology. Not like me! lol but I like what you said here.
In that sense, it's a bit rocky which is why I would say just as a general rule of thumb not to engage in sexual relations if you are under the influence and what not just because some people are very different when inebriated. If they were both drunk then we would have to look at whether explicit consent was given or not and in that case the brother did give permission. If he were to take it away at any given instance then it would be considered rape. That being said I still feel a tad bit uncomfortable that what really happened was he got him drunk to tear down his defence walls and make him more suggestible in a way. It's still just a webtoon tho so its not a big deal if it happened in real life I'd be saying something different
so he pours the liquor down the throat of the victim? No not responsible for how much his boy drinks. Are you saying it's not that he likes the guy,or is interested in him, and plans on seeing more of him if possible? You are saying Doc is just opportunistic playboy?
Why shouldn't Doc use his training as a doc to persuade dojun to see him in a positive light? stop saying he "got him drunk, will you?" you sound like you don't know anything about life sayin that.
Ok boomer
ok snowflake
Oh no did I hurt ur friend's feelings?? Pwease forgive me :(
I think Miki believes a boomer is an American from the midwest. He took it as a compliment bahaha.
Saying "everyone's tolerance is different" is ignorant. Most people fall within certain ranges. If not, breathalyzers would be worthless.
Miki's right. People have sex after having a few drinks. There's nothing wrong with it,and it's perfectly legal. Accept what you cannot change, snowflake
everyone likes you so don't even think twice, just say what you want. Here's a thought: what's wrong with saying stuff over and over? Last time I posted was 12 pages ago. People are yakking about the same stuff over and over. they never read the 12 previous pages
LOL this what you said is so funny! "we would have to look at whether explicit consent was given or not" cuz you going to go in people's bedrooms?
