Lily was a little girl
Afraid of the big, wide world
She grew up within her castle walls
Now and then, she tried to run
And then on a night with the setting sun
She went in the woods away
So afraid, all alone
They warned her, don't go there
There's creatures who are hidin' in the dark
Then somethin' came creepin'
It told her, "Don't you worry, " just
Follow everywhere I go
Top of all the mountains or valley low
Give you everything you've been dreamin' of
Just let me in, ooh
Everything you want in gold
I'll be the magic story you've been told
And you'll be safe under my control
Just let me in

the art is actually good for Chinese manhua

i personally feel like manhua and manhwa both have very beautiful art, but manhuas tend to have a pacing style that feels very jarring to me at times. (manhwas are sometimes too slow, but this allow for a lot of story development. manhuas sometimes feel like whiplash lol.)
perhaps that’s why the art feels more superficial to you - there’s less connection to the story and characters since the pacing feels abnormal.

Yes the pacing sometimes is rather fast so a lot of stuff in it isn't able to show what it needed to show and there are some good manhua but for example 2ha and qjj adaption. The art is pretty but at the same time their expression and story feel underwhelming. But when you read the novel it's much better
