Ig author was trying to pull a "people who experience abnormal love" never have peaceful lives? Mi-Ok's love is abnormal because she loves a mother who doesn't care and Mc and Ml have it cuz they're gay? This is the most sense I could make out of it but it's still not that good of a backstory
