Because I’m pretty sure the author is hinting that they are fated. That’s why she could heal his scars and wounds. If my assumption is right, he’ll probably get his mark when he faces his trauma and accepts her or maybe they’ll figure it out when the neck las is closed by. Since the necklace is meant to help her find her other half.
Granted I could be wrong and the author might just surprise us with something even more exciting. But that won’t happen until season 2. From what I can see.

seems a bit too coincidental that her mother's brooch was at the auction house and that it's almost directly stated that the mysterious benefactor of the auction house person gave him all the jewels he wanted to succeed. Plus, Ivona's mother seems cold and went missing so it's possible that's her mother who's doing all this

I bought the raws actually. The translators didn't include it, but the back cover of this volume is young version of Lockmann and Nunnaly bickering. Lockmann still has short hair, and Nunnaly with brown hair.
