I don't know. I think that since neither Dahye nor Yeonhwa might change their ways, (Dahye seems to be getting worse. Almost like she's waiting for Yeonhwa to get out so she can finally get her revenge) they should... just.... end up... together...? I mean, so they can keep all their destructive behavior between them and not hurt other people. So like hatred turning into serious passion. Then gradually, they cool down. That would be nice, right?

I just want Kaoru to figure out that her husband is or was (don't know what's happening with them at the moment) cheating on her or for Kaoru's friend to break it of with him in front of her (I want him to be embarrassed) then apologize (not that I want her to be forgiven easily or whatever). I don't think I want Uta to end up with Kaoru though unless Kaoru actually falls in love with Uta - which I doubt will happen right away or Uta goes out with someone else to try and forget about Kaoru and Kaoru gets jealous or something. I just don't want Uta to hurt anymore ╥﹏╥. But I also want Kaoru to be happy AAAHHGG! I WANT EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY! Except the cheating douchebag of course.

yes, unfortunately that is what we’re all assuming. there is a picture floating around further up on this thread that shows them both in front of the wave, so perhaps they sacrifice themselves? and are together in afterlife? regardless a sad ending seems likely.
The original story has a happy ending, though. There is no minister's wife in that version, but in the original, Shimcheong is spared by the Sea god, who is touched by her sacrifice, and marries the king. She's reunited with her father, who miraculously regains his vision, and they live happily ever after as a family in the palace.
