Okay, I’ve read the light novel till chapter 87 or smth... and so far the story is great but something just irks me.
Yes, the princess. Okay, art cares for her, it is great that he is actually trying to form bonds with people and able to break out from the emotional unavailability that he had established in his previous life. But still, mentally he’s 50, it is really hard to look at someone romantically when they are like 40 years younger than you, and I would’ve been fine with the princess if only she had even a speck of decency and tolerance towards art’s feelings. But no, she is so selfish, constantly trying to shove her feelings down art’s throat and blaming him for being ‘bad with women’ bcus he’s too dense, although she should’ve known better that arts better than that, and more persceptive than that. She constantly tried to make the first moves in the novel then shed get mad when theyre not reciprocated, then shed be all defensive by blaming art. Like really, whenever the novel switches to tess’s POV, all she thinks about was herself and her mind was all over Arthur, I get it she’s 14 (currently in the novel they’re like 13-14 years olds), but be a little mature and think about arts feelings sometimes PLEASE like that poor boy has a lot of things going on why cant u just be a supportive and smart GF it’s just sad that the way women are portrayed in this is that they are neurotic and seems like they have no other thoughts occupying their minds except for boys, she’s a princess for godsake at least she should have an ambition to protect ppl or smth.
Yeah right... Especially the age gape. The elf princess is like his daughter, almost like a granddaughter! His body may not be old&big in his new life, but his mind is too old&mature to be with a kid! I don't support these kind of relationships... I think it's so wrong. ( ̄へ ̄)

I know!! The mental age gap is just too extreme, u cant help but to see tess as a weak, spiled, and immature child next to Arthur. Unless she develops and matures a bit which I don’t see them happening.

Arthur is not having romantic feelings. As u’ve said she's probably like a granddaughter to him and his smile reminds me of a dad who’s just happy to see his daughter happy. There have been no hints of a relationship between them stop trying to shove it in. You’re reading too far in between the lines. When he dealt with the bully boi. There are literal adults who act similarly—childish as it is and they just get to revel in the fun of it. Besides, she may be an obnoxious brat but who tf matures at 13 when they’re sheltered as hell? Art is mature due to his age but the elf princess is a literal child. She’s going to be selfish obnoxious and spoilt bc she grew up in an environment that let her but she’s also someone who wants art to be a kid bctht is what she thinks he is. She thinks here is someone i can hang out with who is my age and doesn’t treat me like royalty and become all aloof or whatever or try to get at her family name.

I also read the novel. I tried really hard to endure the girl's attitude for the sake of the plot. She's cute before they arrived at her hometown. Eventually, she became one of the typical annoying girls in isekai who lost their brains. In the end, I gave up.
