I like big dicks as much as the next slut, but ridiculously sized dicks takes me out of the fantasy. Especially in their first sex scene. 10 inches would be good. Not 20 inches long and 10 inches wide. Basically dicks in manhwas have been replaced with forearms.

Lmao at this rate I'm sure that I'll be very disappointed by seeing an actual dick

At this point it’s like whatever, so I don’t know why the size bothered me in this particular story.
Maybe because it’s longer rather than thicker? Usually it’s drawn super thick and long, but here I feel it’s not that thick, but it’s long af.

Bara Bitch May 26, 2025 11:28 pm

The side story should not exist. This couple worked so well in the main story because it was an exaggerated over dramatic representation of stereotypes in the omegaverse genre. And the added aspects such as calling the cops on an abusive seme was a nice touch - this is never done in the omegaverse. So the portrayal served to critique omegaverse stereotypes.

Grounding the relationship in realism detracts from the function of this couple in the main story. So now we just see the portrayal of an abusive, toxic marriage. It could have been empowering for the omega but the ending shows us that the omega actuality hasn’t moved on.

The alpha was a manwhore, wanted to mark someone else, was physically and verbally abusive but then suddenly fell in love? Because baby? And the uke was, of course, head over heels in love with the asshole for some reason.

I was happy when they divorced. The alpha started seeing someone new immediately. Of course. And then the uke says he’s a patient man, implying that since he waited long enough he now got a better version of the alpha. So the alpha can run around and do whatever he wants and then come back once he’s changed.

FUCK THIS.

This alpha is the probably the only person this uke has ever slept with. And the alpha has had multiple sex partners in his lifetime. Why the gendered stereotypes?

The main story was so impactful partly because it went against omegaverse stereotypes. And now with the side story we are back to square one.

I swear. It would have been so refreshing if it was clear that they never got back together. And agreed on custody rights or something. Instead we get the same old nonsense.

Omg for real! The side story lowkey pissed me off

    hyunlionak June 2, 2025 8:20 pm

Yes! I was totally disappointed when the side couple "restarted" their relationship. I thought this time the Omegaverse plot would have been different than usual. When the omegas could stand up for themselves and toss aside their toxic alphas. But boy nope, "I'm pregnant and patient, maybe the alpha will finally change this time."
And the fact that the alpha will redeem himself because the omega finally can get pregnant just doesn't sit right with me.

    Smh.

This so well written and I love the B-story soap opera that was so much more dramatic than the main plot. I haven’t read the side stories, but in the main story they were so over the top that they served as comic relief to an already somewhat comedic main story.

In the main story though, The MC was hilarious, the ML was quite adorable and the omega was surprisingly badass.

It also critiqued omegaverse tropes while exploring a deeper understanding of personal feelings related to that universe.

I really shipped the MC with his best friend though. I loved how we learnt how they both liked each other in the past but were too young and scared to do anything about it. They repressed their feelings and then those feelings disappeared over time.

When they confessed their past love to each other, it was sad to see a sense of mourning for a romantic relationship that ended before it began. But also an appreciation for their lifelong friendship.

Also, seeing the best friend being so upset over the sexual harassment from omegas was so sad. And also seeing the MC’s regret upon reflection, as to how he minimised the situation while trying to comfort him - not really understanding pheromones and their impact.

Bara Bitch May 24, 2025 2:03 am

I dunno hey. The uke’s entire life and reason for being is the seme. Yes, the seme is in love with him sure, but I feel this weird nonsensical devotion coming from the uke even though the amplifier is destroyed. And now he has his original personality back and is literally only capable of caring for one person.

I find it so unfair that due to the core change, the seme is fully healed, but the uke is permanently disabled. Like he has all this power but it’s only for the protection of the seme and he cannot heal himself.

I really hate that. It just doesn’t feel right that he’ll be in pain all his life.

And I really liked the semes scar. I wish they didn’t get rid of it.

Exeggutor Is Hideous May 28, 2025 12:19 am

Who knows, the scar could actually be symbolic

    Longtimereader June 12, 2025 6:42 pm

Wait thought he was not because he could still walk but due to the changes of the season the pain would intensify

Who knows, the scar could actually be symbolic Exeggutor Is Hideous

Same mind think alike! And I think for the uke it's not like he can't walk but I think because it didn't get treated properly it'll bring pain once in a while or even regularly which is still suck but hey if that's either me or my loved one, I would do the same

Bara Bitch May 23, 2025 7:22 pm

Also… why did the ML need to get the MC so totally in love with him. We know the MC only wants to kiss someone he is dating, but why did the ML want the MC’s emotions to get so intense? They were effectively dating ages ago, but the ML just kept pushing and pushing and the intensity of the MC’s feelings just became greater and greater. I don’t understand what the need for this was. He could have kissed him ages ago, but he wanted it to hurt more for the MC because he wanted the MC to really hate him.

    Jiwon June 2, 2025 1:56 pm

I think it was because MC was not letting him (the ML) in at all in the start, if u refer back to chapter 38, you can see how the ML is having a hard time with getting the MC to even give him the time of the day, let alone let MC kiss him. I think it also has to do with how MC felt about kisses, about how kissing is something that only people who date do, so knowing this, the ML had to let the MC fall for him since the MC wouldn't let the ML kiss him otherwise.
Yeah, and abt the part of why the ML wanted the MC to hate him, this is my personal interpretation, but the ML, after getting to know MC and realizing that MC is capable to making him "falter from his goals"(again referred in chap 38), he felt guilty for hurting MC like this intentionally and didnt think he deserved MC's love even after all his plans are over and that MC deserved someone better than him, it's the classic trope where "one person does something horrible so that the other person can hate them and move on without any lingering feelings"
But again this my personal interpretation, but please feel free to add your thoughts and interpretations, I'd actually love to hear it since it's also kinda bothering me lol ( ◜‿◝ )♡

Bara Bitch May 23, 2025 7:16 pm

The plot was plotting! I have a question though…

Spoiler

Can someone explain the 3 year thing. Like he had already orchestrated his father’s death but he was going to use the Dare for 3 more years then commit suicide. But the MC wants to prevent both a suicide and a murder. Can someone explain this to me?

    Jiwon June 2, 2025 1:58 pm

Probably to take care of the aftermath of the murder, his sister's stalking guy, I think ┗( T﹏T )┛

Bara Bitch May 22, 2025 11:24 pm

Two things kinda annoy me.

1. The father - the originator of the debt - is walking around scott free (coupled with the fact that the ML chose not to capture him when he could have)

2. The ML was sexually attracted to the MC from the beginning, hence the brutal rape. He stopped treating the MC horribly once he caught feels. My question is - what if he never caught feels but the arrangement still carried on? If not rape, then the sex would still be somewhat coercive, and physically painful for the MC.

I guess the conundrum is this - in manhwa, rapists stop raping when they fall in love. But, if they are not in love they carry on raping. So, there is no realisation of the immorality of rape. They just regret raping ONE SPECIFIC person, usually the MC. And, based on their behaviour and sexual experience, it’s fair to assume that wealthy toxic semes would have raped a whole lot of other guys before they rape the MC.

I know I’m overthinking this, but I was just considering the characters’ behaviour (in a general sense) before ML’s in manhwa meet the MC’s.

    etea May 23, 2025 12:06 am

I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but ML is already someone who that beats people up and forces them to comply in order to get what he wants. I doubt he's like fighting is wrong and rape is wrong. He's morals are already messed up. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ To him, rape is probably the same as beating the shit out of someone but he also gets to satisfy his sexual needs. Assault is assault. It's both wrong, though, on different levels.

Bara Bitch May 22, 2025 9:19 pm

I wonder if they’ll ever address the rape in the beginning of the story. Granted, the ML said in the redemption arc that he didn’t want to do anything the MC didn’t want anymore, but that specific incident with the bleeding etc? It was extremely callous and violent.

    UUta0 May 22, 2025 10:38 pm

I doubt it. They’re Asians (kinda satire/ half not because many Asians culturally do not verbalise their apology, they show through actions and maybe some words, but not a full blown discussion).

Sure, but he apologised for everything else. He said he was sorry multiple times, but never about that specific incident. Which makes me wonder whether the author purposely glossed over it and his apologies were more geared to how the MC was treated in that old apartment they were staying in. And of course later about the debt forgiveness etc.

I think I remember him mentioning about something along the lines of forced down, but it wasn’t a discussion. And yes, he apologised but didn’t really specify to what he’s apologising for (or he did).

That’s the cultural part. Sometimes people won’t directly mention something due to guilt and shame, so I’m assuming that’s the case with Taeju.

As for the gloss over, unfortunately it happens a lot in BL and you’ll get shit for calling the author out.

    I agree with your points.

Taking a slight tangent, personally I’d never call out the author. Like there’s all these weird people that call authors out on X/ Twitter etc - it’s so insane. Even attempting to cancel them.

I like to critique storyline, plot, characters behaviour, stereotypes, etc etc but I think it’s not always helpful to call out the authors, specifically BL authors. A lot of the time, they just write what sells/ what is “trendy” in the BL world.

I can’t fully describe how I feel after having just finished this. I will eventually write an essay on this manhwa (I seem to be doing that a lot on Mangago). In a sea of smutty manga that basically rehash the same tired plot, this story stands out like a diamond in the rough.

This story is a prime example of how elevated a manhwa can be. This shows us how manhwa as an art form can beautifully express the human condition and touch readers’ hearts.

When it comes to stories, sometimes you just want to feel something and be moved. I’m so grateful to have read this manhwa.

Bara Bitch May 21, 2025 8:45 pm

This is such a masterpiece. In terms of storytelling and even art, it feels more like a Japanese manga.

So many manhwa nowadays feel superficial and prioritise smut and shock value over originality and naturalistic human behaviour. They have the same old boring tropes (sexually experienced rich toxic seme, weak virgin uke, seme is abusive, redemption arc, happy ending)

This manhwa has much better quality storytelling and naturalistic characters that behave like ACTUAL human beings. It has the ability to make us feel the characters’ emotions and the reasoning behind their actions.

It can even make a simple kissing scene so full of erotic tension that it makes me doki doki

You described exactly what I thinkkkk, I love comics that feel human like that, not just a predictable remix of tropes that don’t even bother to make you care through human elements, just shallow caricatures of characters

Do you have a list of such comics?/? That feel like an actual human story?/ <3
