I was thinking of it as a whole because I've seen this in many other manga, but the comments of this manga are especially toxic with this bullshit. Like I get that shipping something that is toxic is a thing, but that girl he married in his last live ended pretty fucking toxic and we know the fucking outcome and people are still trying to ship him with that bitch and not the blonde girl who actually likes him and who we have no idea if she'll stay by his side. The brown haired girl literally left him cuz he had no money or time when the entire point of marriage to be with each other through it all, whether it's hard or not, and prop each other back up. So if they can ship shit that they know went sour then why can't bl shippers just choose to ship toxic boys. And even then, a lot of people aren't saying it because they are toxic, they are saying it because bl shippers ship guys. You go through a lot of the posts with bl shipper hate, only the bl shippers say stuff like it's too toxic, and a few people outside of that, but most people don't even address the toxicity until after the fucking fact when the bl shipper is mad. IMO, I feel it's perfectly fine to ship fictional characters even if it's a problematic, cuz it's fantasy, stories are feeding people's fantasy or rather desires.
However, when it coming to shipping IRL people, it's different. I feel it's still okay if they're writing fanfics/fantasizing about them but when they spam the people with shipping comments or comments telling them to do things, it could affect their personal life.

Lastly, I just don't understand why he needs to be prepared, and if he wasn't locked up and "protected" his whole life, he probably would be prepared. It's not up to other people if he gets into or out of trouble, that's his own problem. It's not up to other people once he goes back or stays around, it's his decision. People dragging him back and forth and hiding him when the going get's tough is probably the main reason why he is so weak.
