Honey makes me feel gross so anytime I say that it’s more to carry home a point. “Honey, that’s why I said it like…” and I’ll repeat myself slowly. Stuff like that. Darling is something to jokingly call your boyfriend in a fake English accent. Babe is more palatable but the reason poor Garam is struggling is because these things don’t just roll off the tongue when you’re being nice. It’s easier to use sickly sweet pet names in a derogatory way.

So… I’m very very grateful for your the translations and all of that but I kind of want to read the novel and I have no idea what chapter to start at. I have a feeling I will like the novel better… since everything will be more detailed I feel like I’d understand what’s going on better. Can someone tell me what chapter 172 in the manhwa is in the novel?

I think as the son of my baby Jinwoo, a lot of people had this expectation that his storyline would be pretty similar. I like the difference between their personalities. I like that you can TELL while Jinwoo didn’t really have a chance to be a young adult before he got his powers because he had to toil away in dungeons that would get him killed, so much so, that when he does get power he appreciates every aspect of it. When he reverses time to protect everyone, the only greedy thing he ever does is try to have his own life and it’s actually kind of sad. Jinho grew up strong. He was strong as a baby, popular and strong as a teen even without powers, because he had no one to protect to keep living he had no need to endanger himself going in dungeons, and because of all of that when he finally gets into a dangerous life or death situation he’s cocky and he never even gets the chance to be humbled because he gets powers. When they’re weaker than he wants them to be, he acts like a spoiled child, because in comparison to Jinwoo, the boy is spoiled. The symbolism in his power of death being so frail even at the beginning of the story, is powerful. Jinwoo’s shadow abilities were NEVER that weak because he’s been through it and back but also because he IS the shadow monarch. I don’t think Jinho’s abilities will ever really reach his dad’s level and I’m okay with that. I hope he’ll be powerful in his own way to the point where they can be close to equals without Junji relying solely on shadow abilities because I’m gonna be honest…. They don’t really suit him.

I don’t think the author has realized he can avoid more BL flags even while being in a relationship if you don’t put the MC in a relationship there are so many flags that won’t ever play out and it’s a crying shame

Soohan wasn’t meant to be with Mr.Yoon no matter how cute and in love they seemed to be, that’s the point of the whole series. Love isn’t the only thing that matters in a relationship. Mr.Yoon lied and told multiple secrets, one’s that Soohan needed to know in order for their relationship to thrive. If Yoohan knew about all of those issues he was having, they could’ve found a way to stay together despite the obstacles but because Mr. Yoon didn’t do that Soohan was easily used as blackmail or as his weakness. Understandably. Soohan was his lover not his child, but he treated him like one. Mr. Yoondidnt want to let him go sure but he already knew the answer to all his problems when he asked Soohan if they should run away together and then proceeded to choose not to. He CHOSE to abandon Soohan, sure you can say it was to protect him but he knew that if he continued the path he was going down eventually he’d have to give him up and that’s exactly what happened. Soohan is a romantic but he doesn’t need to be babied. Now I love Mr. Yoon, do not get me wrong. He never confined his previous lovers in a deranged act of self preservation like Taeyul. However, we can’t pretend like Soohan and Mr. Yoon are perfect for one another when…. they were not. Mr. Yoon made our boy insecure, weak-spirited, exhausted, and then broke his heart. Mr. Yoon then pushed Taeyul to Soohan once he was done. It seems like y’all are forgetting how Taeyul came into the picture anyway. He KNEW that they suited each other and he KNEW that if they didn’t work out the best person for Soohan would be Taeyul. He KNEW. Soohan and Taeyul are with who they were meant to be with and they helped each other heal. That’s what’s important. The story is amazing and shows beautiful character development. It’s cute and bittersweet and I love it dearly.

Choi is absolutely a bastard the more I think about it. He ab***ed Jaein’s baby without consent. Sure it was Choi’s baby too but that’s not something you can do without even asking your significant other. He then proceeds to isolate the lover he just forced into a decision he KNOWS that Jaein didn’t want with gangsters with no explanation at all. Sure, he was doing all that to keep Jaein away from his own father but think about it… does that even matter? No. He could’ve spoken to Jaein about this matter and if Jaein said no, then he could’ve let him go. Found a way for Jaein and the baby to survive without him. Did he do that? No. He wanted Jaein in his grasp at all times. This wasn’t love, it was selfish obsession. He drugged him, put other alpha’s on him to coerce Jaein into intercourse with him, he kidnapped and is actively trying to hurt the father of Jaein’s baby KNOWING that the distance from a pregnant omega and their alpha could cause health problems. Does he seem to care about that though? No. He’s too busy complaining about how the baby doesn’t seem to like him. Ooooooh I’m heated.

So what I’ve seen from the story is that Nio’s brother had two sons, one biologically his and one not. That’s why Nio says that he’s the kid’s uncle while the other disagrees because while technically according to their register they’re related, biologically they aren’t. So, is it incest? Nah. Morally corrupt? Yuppers. Honestly, no matter if the bloodline isn’t the same it’s still super weird. His brother raised him till he died and then Nio raised the kid himself till he became an adult. So despite not biologically being your nephew… he’s basically his adopted kid. Kinda gross. A good read if you shut your brain off but the more you think about it the more you think “Nio probably should’ve been more firm when telling the kid no.” “The kid had a crush for years and that’s technically not Nio’s fault but he should’ve been more careful so the kid wouldn’t have seen him while in heat.” “Eventually the kid would get over those feelings so all Nio had to was not indulge him but look where we are now…” honestly not here to be critical. I enjoyed the story despite everything. It was funny to say the least. Would I recommend it to anyone? Nah. People are messy and sometimes reading about messy people can be fun. It’s gross and that won’t change but it’s an interesting story. That’s all I wanted to say.

The plot isn’t memorable, it’s cliche for sure but it’s still cute. Being so blind in love you can’t see that the person you love is hiding a lot is a common plot point but it’s used because it’s impactful. I feel bad for the uke and I understand the seme’s point of view as well. It’s interesting to me despite the cliche parts. I don’t know what y’all were expecting from something with a title like this but if you clicked on something with a title like this for a unique plot line, I genuinely think you need more critical thinking skills. It’s right what it says on the tin. You want something unique and different? Don’t click on a story for the art and actually read the description or title. I don’t know how you all are surprised by this, I think you genuinely just want to complain. There are plenty of BL out there that aren’t like this but you ignore them because they either aren’t popular or the art doesn’t interest you. You want something different? Instead of complaining about one’s like these find something different. I assure you, you’ll be a lot happier with your lives. Your complaining but you’re still here, it’s not like you dropped the story, after the second chapter popped up you people were the first to arrive only to complain and for what? Just drop it write a negative review and move on with your life. Prop up good stories and you’ll find more.
