I have a feel that the new person that's going to live in Naru's mansion is Masato's ex-boyfriend...
In Sayonara while Masato is messing with the main couple I do not get a bad vibe from him. While reading his story and seeing how awful his first love is (he left him without hesitation, raped and hit him) I think that a) the mangaka did a great job presenting him like that b) deep down he does not meddling in couples for fun, he genuinely thinks that gays and straights cannot work. And I really don't think that a casual acquaintance can make you split with someone if the relationship is good. I really liked the story (all 3 mangas really) and I really like Asahi (as much as I like Iku and more)
I did read the manga properly, and I'm not saying this to ruin the manga or anything. I love Love Nest and I find it to be my most favorite work out of all of Minaduki Yuu's works. I know that Naru "oversees" all of his tenants but there's that cliche in BL mangas that the ex comes back. Yes, Masato's ex is a horrible person but Masato needs to find closure or else I feel like the issues in Masato's backstory won't be resolved. Asahi has already met his ex-wife and by meeting her the mangaka's not creating angst or anything, I believe she appeared to show that Asahi has overcome his past. The same goes for the couple that Masato "ruined" (a.k.a Asahi's younger brother). It's shown that the couple has overcome Masato's interference and has gotten stronger. These kinds of traumas or issues that are in each characters backstories should be resolved in some way in order for the story to progress and the readers to feel content. I believe this manga is still continuing, and therefore Masato's ex may show up. But then again, I may be wrong.
I've read to chapter 7, but I'm kind of annoyed by the heroine... She's apparently supposed to be "strong", but despite that she blushes, cries, and requires help constantly to the extent that it gets tiring. Plus, she kind of just ignores Kanzaki and just dotes on her so-called crush??? I understand that this is the stereotypical "gender-bender" type thing but I feel like the heroine doesn't deserve the "strong female lead" tag... Yes, she plays a sport, sure she's stubborn. But strong? I don't really think so...
**Also, the harem component feels entirely unnecessary. Before the male lead (Kanzaki) and the heroine fix their relationship and get any further the author just keeps on introducing more male characters. It's very obvious who the "main" male lead is but there's still the harem component... I don't know, I'm just very annoyed overall and I just feel, personally, that Kanzaki deserves better.
***ANOTHER SIDE NOTE! I know that there's going to be people annoyed by my opinion so please keep in mind that this is my personal belief...
I completely agree with you! I was looking forward to this because the female lead was different from your typical shoujo lead, but she just disappointed me as I kept reading. She was strong in the first chapter then proceeded to rely on a guy to save her, like usual. She is definitely not a strong female lead...
I am already dropping this at Ch.6 because seriously??? HOW IS OZAKI NOT THE BOTTOM??? I know that it's stereotypical for the bishounen (pretty boy) to be the bottom, but I was hoping that this would be one of those mangas where the masculine guy is on the bottom. I'm pretty sure that the story progressed in a way so that Ozaki would be the bottom (I mean he's so adorable how could he not??) but all of a sudden Tsuburaya is the bottom??? I'm disappointed :(
Yeah, I understand what you mean. The black haired guy was so cute and I thought that he would be the uke but I guess that was just to mislead the readers. I believed that the blonde guy would kind of a sadist seme because he kept on saying "you're adorable" and everything but I guess we were wrong! #-.-)
I love delinquent ukes, I love the plot, I love the art, I love everything about it. But I'm just not for exhibitionism ( ̄∇ ̄") I just feel strangely awkward when the couple has sex in front of people or a camera... But otherwise, really good! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
