For both versions, the endings were rushed and were not good...! Like... he shouldn't have forced a kiss like in ver 2 or forced a BJ like in ver 1. Instead, he should have said "it pisses me off" and stormed off, leaving both of the boys TIME to CONTEMPLATE what the FUCK is going on instead of fucking around while drunk. He should have later realised he was jealous and he loves him like in ver 1. Then the all rubbish being put away and panicked visit to Uyama should have happened like in ver 2, except at this point he realises that his love will just hurt Uyama so he wants to say sorry for muddying the waters of their friendship and acting up in front of his 'boss'. Meanwhile, Uyama would be thankful that his friend realises his fuck ups and would remember "Oh yeah, I really do love this guy" after a heartfelt string of words on Sakyou's part. However, he would say that he just wants to remain friends, even though his heart is telling him to give in to his feelings, since he is still scared of being hurt! Then, like in ver 2, you see Sakyou being friendly with Uyama. However, you see his feelings deepen as he struggles with the idea of Uyama leaving. Meanwhile, Uyama becomes more and more reluctant to leave. In ver 2, this doesn't happen til RIGHT AT THE END??? This makes their confession really sudden, which makes it seem really forced. These scenes I suggested would allow for a smoother progression from friends to lovers! Additionally, there should be an extra scene where Sakyou offers to make Uyama a final meal for dinner before he goes and Uyama admits what his favourite meal is. The two should then converse like they do in ver 2 at the airport, except they are in Saykou's apartment. Then, like in ver 2, Saykou eventually says "Although I want to be happy for you, I will miss having you by my side... because I like you" and THEN Uyama's feelings become stronger than his fears and he confesses too! This minimises the weird third-party interference by boss dude and allows for a sweet and affectionate scene without everyone watching and being fucking weird. This also allows intimate time if they want. You can even have a BJ scene like in ver 1, except it's consentual so it's actually sexy and not gross, and would be kind of a call back to the BJ Uyama gave, except this time they are on the same page about their feelings. Either way, the two could then cuddle and be affectionate, Saykou could remember the glove thing, and then you have the shot of the gloves at the windowsill, to allow for a bow to tie the manga together. As you can see, it's not hard to make a story without sexual assault and actual character motivations explained. Overall, this story has a lot of potential but both ending fall flat, so honestly the remake doesn't do these guys justice.

I can't tell whether the uke is a gay man or a straight trans woman that doesn't realise they are trans.... Like.... there is a difference between being a gay man that likes feminine things and a trans woman, but the translator treats these two concept like they are synonymous. I am not sure whether this is the same in the raw version, so I can't determine the thought process of the author. That being said, this lack of clarity shows that the translator and/or the author need to educate themselves so that they can write characters that actually make sense.

I think gender and sex are both different. Sex is when you are born with male or female body parts. Gender is more on the mindset. So if a boy who has male body parts is a woman at heart, then she's a trans woman. Or if a girl who has female body parts is a man at heart, then he's a trans man. Then there are also genderfluid and genderless ones. Gender is more of a social construct, while sex is biology.
