Did you actually read the story? the Omega is the one who left and tried to hide the child.
You must have read the wrong story....the alpha was in rut and the omega must have manifest right before the rut and also went into heat. That's why the omega got pregnant, because their cycle aligned. The beat didn't know he manifested, most likely, or if he knew he didn't think he'd go into heat. Either way he happened have been there during DoYoon's rut, and then he ran away right after the sex. DoYoon had NO RECOLLECTION of the event except that he found out he had been bonded to some omega...and after DY broke up w/ YeJun, YeJun just left after graduation and ran away and found out he was pregnant and decided to go into hiding and raised the child alone. In NO WAY did DoYoon neglected his child...and mate because he did not know... Idk why it took him 5 years to find YJ though. YJ must have hid pretty well, and maybe DY hadn't gone to look for YJ because he hadn't associated the two and two together. Most likely YJ did a good job of hiding. That's my guess.

Dunno if I skipped over some scenes or didn’t read properly, but is it ever stated why MC doesn’t want to reveal the truth to the ML in the present? Also I’m curious why didn’t ML just ask his father what happened after the accident but I’m assuming he shut his lips tight.
I think that MC doesn’t want to tell the truth about who he is because ML’s father might try to get rid of him (permanently) or try to hurt him. Since ML’s father was borderline blackmailing MC, he could just be trying to keep his family safe just in case they became targets as well. If I remember correctly, I think that ML did ask his family about what happened before he lost his memories, but they shrugged it off and never wanted to reveal the truth about MC. It still breaks my heart that MC keeps hiding the truth though.

I just binged the manga after the anime. It’s more side plot than slow burn. It’s more mystery solver than anything but there’s a lot of interconnected plot and foreshadowing. It keeps you on your toes. Romance is hinted at here and there so it’s not like it’s an after thought but if slow burn is like 60 chapters and they kiss, this is probably gonna be like 200 chapters before they even admit to themselves that they like each other. It’s a very very impressive manga tho. I thoroughly loved it and gave it 5/5 stars.
