This makes me remember of actual life. The powerlessness that we have in our lives once responsibilities pile up. We let those things creep in our lives, feeling frustrated and scared. Yet, we learn to be accustomed to the mess. We learn to live with it while finally bury our previous feelings to the feelings of familiarity.
