It's basically a world which alpha and omega can produce hormones/pheromones to seduce eachother and ITS NOT SOMETHING PEOPLE CAN FIGHT WITH- Its an animalistic instinct which can make people lose their sanity and any common sense their lust(or actually the will to mate) will be turn to the EXTREME...like cats in mate season. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
What can people do about it? Nothing and if people don't take their meds on time/right way it will of course end up like Haga... Omegaverse is made for smut at the first place... there are more and more non smut/healthy bls right here~ I suggest u to not read any smut with omegaverse cuz rape/nonconsensual sexual activity does appear almost all the time there XDDD ┗( T﹏T )┛((yes we need more sweeeet sweet omegaverse smuts MANGAKAS PWEASE)
I don't read a lot of omegaverse as it's not my cup of tea but I've noticed a few stories with alphas still able to act a consciousness even when affected by the heat of an omega. There's also a particular omegaverse story with the omega just breaking every omega standard through sheer spite, willpower and anger. To me, it seems like people have the capacity to restrain themselves if it's a stronger will to avoid such a situation. Just that it's difficult to act upon for those who aren't matured and educated to even care I guess.
i think it just depends on the author bc ive seen some where alphas are almost not affected by an omega in heat at all but in others they are able to smell an omega in heat a mile away (an exaggeration) and struggle to not act on instinct even if the omega is farther away
I guess so since this type of genre is like supernatural where you get a general idea and you can basically add more details that's usually not thought of due to the amount of cliches...
Yeah from what I've gathered Bout omegaverse is there is the basic building blocks that a lot of artists just build from and add or change what they want to make it their own
Like Ducky said, the standard us quite broad and mangaka can add changes to it but what I meant is more like: this happened a lot in Omegaverse (or wait...it actually happened a lot in Yaoi in general...)
But yeah...also like what u said it's usually those who don't even try to restrain themselves *but well...if we think about it...if it's really difficult for those with strong wills to stay in conciousness...for those with not such strong wills.... would be more difficult to keep their sanity (●￣(ｴ)￣●)

Another addicting painful, shivering story right here... The way that artist tells the story is just...so soothing to read, though I hate this kind of romance(really hope it won't turn into another Bonny & Clyde story) but I do need to admit that these kind of story catches our mind the best hhhh...I thought I won't he reading any psychological Yaoi but here I am again....ah....its even more messed up than Killing Stalking in my opinion（/TДT)/

Ah let's suffer together hhh the story is just way too good, the characters are just so messed up but it made the story...again...this perfect: like the way he didn't let the other young man live...the way he slowly drives us/protagonist crazy... whoah...this is some masterpiece hhh it's like u are a god watching all this happen but u can't do a thing hhhhhh the thrills in each ep didn't decrease a bit! Aaah...if they publish the book I would sure buy it ;w;
