I really get pissed off when I readt he comments.
Yes there is rape, yes it is not okay
but guys its fucking fiction.
If you dont like it,dont read it.
Haha my autocorrect doesn't like the word porn*. But anyways, basically, what I was wondering is: does yaoi have to have more ethics than hentai, and how does one differentiate a yaoi that's purely for erotic audiences versus one which you should critically view? Info if that makes sense but I see the rape argument all the time and I completely understand it being an issue in stories which have realistic aspects...but what about the stories that are purely for smuts and kinks sake?
Oh lord, you just reminded me of a book I read with a old fav pairing of mine. I saw the description and I was like "Nah, that’s gross. That shouldn’t even be a thing.” But my curiosity got the best of me and it was actually pretty good, I won’t even cap. It was basically about Dude A having a rape kink and wanted to find someone that could help him out with that. He finds an ad on the internet about it and meets Dude B. They even signed a contract and etc just to make sure both parties were consenting. Now, that type of stuff I don’t have ANY problem with. But the shit that happened in this story, was outta pocket FR FR. Fam was clearly giving signs that he didn’t want to and plus he was under the influence but homeboy still went through with it. And what will the victim or attacker gain from it? Nothing.
Damn, ya boi really out here doing this while half asleep. I hope what I said makes sense. If it doesn’t, I’ll start over if I wake up in the morning.
See that type of stuff sounds okay in that story lol, I like the consenting kink. I'm middleway about this topic, I can't stand to read really serious storyline filled yaois that have rape in them , but I can read smutty/sex themed yaois with rape. I think to solve this issue of the split comment section about rape, for these yaois there needs to atleast be a mandatory rape warning - like the r18 warnings- on the title page of each story. (Maybe thats too much?)
I love leaving a story with a smile on my face
