I like how realistic their relationship is but it's pretty harmful to assosicate everything with being dominant or submissive. Not everything is a play or game for dominance and submission.

Its when the sub submits to the dom. Submission has a lot of spectrums and so does domination. Usually the dominant is in charge of what the submissive does and is allowed to do (this has to be negotiated prior). For example there is the very classic dom and sub, usually accompanied by physical forms of domination (spanking seems to be the most common thing there). A lot of the time those people are also into receiving pain. Most of the time a dominant will either give spanks as a reward, as a challenge or in roleplay aspects as a 'punishment' for being a bad boy/girl.
A good chunk of those people are also into being handcuffed and/or restrained orherwise.
Then there's also people who are into petplay (submissives usually like to roleplay or live like a type of animal) the most common one seems to be the dog here.
This can range from simple roleplay, to people wearing dog masks and/or mittens to limit their hand movement and being walked on leashes or a more simplified version, where the submissive acts like a humanoid animal. Most of the time those people like the aspect of being commanded what to do and being 'reduced' to a more simple role, but this is often the case for most submissives, usually described as 'not having to think and just being allowed to be'.
A lot of the time this is associated with treating the person like an actual pet, giving them pets, playing fetch 'teaching tricks' or having them eat and drink from dog bowls or walking them on a leash outside.
Then there also DDLG/Caregiver type roles, where the dominant usually takes on a more parental figure in a kink-sense. This usually goes quite far apart in range as there are many subcategories to this.
Some people just like to act like a child and 'regress' to being a child mentally. Those people like to watch kids cartoons/movies, draw pictures with crayons, cuddle with plushies, revert to childlike speech.
Then there are also cases where the submissive acts like a toddler, including wearing diapers, having a pacifier and laying in a crib.
These are just a few of the more commonly known categories, there's a lot and way too many since every dominant and submissive decide themselves what is being dominant and what is being submissive.
At the end of the day it boils down to the submissive willingly giving control over to the dominant. Obviously there are also switches who like to do both of those things.
In this manga it might've thematically started out that way, but no one is being dominated here or being submissive. It's just two people fooling around with something that even the kink-community considers to be not standard (pegging).
