Personally I loved this manga. It brings up a lot of topics like can friendships really exist among opposite genders, double standards, as well as liking the same sex in the real world (because not everything is like yaoi lol). Regarding the ending: I personally liked it. Maybe the author wanted to show that even though Ichinose and Futaba seemed perfect together, you never know what will truly happen. They broke up, but they still get their own happy endings with people they love. Additionally, as somebody who’s also in their last year of high school, Ichinose’s struggle with what he wants to do really struck a chord in me. I have so many things I dislike about myself and this manga really allowed me to connect with these characters as they went through similar struggles and made me feel slightly less alone (if that makes sense?).
How can something be so unbelievably pure yet unbelievably dirty?
