“Noble/sacrificial love” is one of my least favorite tropes to exist. Unless there are irreconcilable differences like one wanting children and the other not, i wish characters would just be with each other if they wanna be together

I just reread from chapter 1 cuz I forgot what happened. Does anyone know why he acted like that in chapter 1? He couldn’t have known what she had in her house by the notification, so it doesn’t make sense that he knows what she ordered. But also his reaction was odd if he acted like that cuz he thought she had a boyfriend?? He was smiling and acting like he caught her or something. Like if he was upset at the thought that her having a boyfriend, wouldn’t he have acted upset?? He was acting like he caught her doing something she shouldn’t if anyone gets what I mean?
