i mean like… the last part of the first season was building up to their backstory, it’ll take a while for it to circle back around to the present. it still hasn’t touched on how tae died + they even fell in love in the past hsjsks
im genuinely asking this, but what did you expect from the story in this season? knowing that tae and hyo met in a past life, and the reason they’re together now is because they have a magnetic connection to each other; the backstory explains a huge part of their relationship and why they’re so drawn to each other now

I didn't see anyone responding to your question, but I would guess they would go until he dies in the past life? I believe right now it's explaining what lead to their current situation. Going off of the raws, we still have quite a bit to go. He becomes an adult (within the span of a couple of days) before we get to the event that would bring us to the present. My guess is that the end of the season will bring us to the present, but it could very well bring us back half way through. I'm not sure.
