Y’all are weird trying to excuse this by saying “it’s just a webtoon and it’s just fiction!!” It literally doesn’t matter? It’s still incredibly toxic to make a story that casually brushes over a whole rape scene and make it seem like no big deal and still push the two characters to be together.
These webtoons literally just add rape as shock value or to get the characters to have ‘sex’ so it makes it seem like they have a reason to y’all and end up together. There’s never any real reason to have it and I promise if there was it would be better done than this and something as terrible and traumatizing as rape is, wouldn’t be made to seem okay just because the person who did it is ‘hot’ or the love interest. Yeah she was 100% raped and i have also notice that chinese story’s usually have the mc raped by the love interest and just glosses over it like it’s natural. There isn’t even a reason for it. Just seems like lazy writing to force the story’s beginning. But in this story it could have been written that he actually didn’t do anything but married her because he got interested in her and then proposed the marriage as a deal after he saw how her father treats her and how she was set up to be raped by her sister and blamed for manslaughter. He will protect her and she will give him a chance

This was what I was trying to clarify. The description makes it sound like he was raped. It took me back a second because that never seems to happen in a straight couple; it is always the women. It would have been interesting to see the male side of this issue, which is constantly overlooked in real life.

Now, don’t get my wrong, yall. Amazing story, amazing protagonist who is absolutely NOT stupid. I have no doubt that the author will be able to position the FL well. She’s definitely a strong character and she’s only 6 years old. But, I also have no doubt that it will only get more gut-wrenching before it gets better. Will it be worth it? Well…I’m in too deep to quit now.
