One of my closest friends deals with sleep paralysis regularly and I know from hearing her describe it when it happens that it's absolutely terrifying, because you definitely can't move beyond blinking and breathing, and you can't talk. You're just stuck being completely awake and aware, feeling trapped in your own body, until you finally fall back asleep.
Once you get used to it, it feels like nothing when I get sleep paralysis I just fall asleep while it's happening lol
