honestly, i really hated the ex at first, but then after what i read, hes actually not bad, he tried to save nanase, but the price was that it gave nanase trauma.
Edit: Im just gonna explain why, first i think the ex, his name minato i think and nanse were high school students, im not really sure. minato was mixed in the bad crows like he said and that one of the higher ups had his eyes on nanase. imagine nanase in the hands of that higher up, he couldve gotten worse. minato then decided that making nanase hate him and leaving was the best choice. what minato did was what he thought was the best for nanase, but it was still wrong. In chp 4 i think, when nanase said why did u make that face or why do u look like that, it shows that minato was deeply regreting everything and felt sorry for what he did. but since hes selfish he didnt want to tell nanase what happened. in the end, he told kei that he was glad kei found nanase. that tells me, minato really loved nanase, and that he wanted nanase to find someone better than him. also in the end where kei told nanase that "i wish nanase will have happy days as many as he can", i felt like that thats what minato told kei and kei decided to tell nanase, but im not really sure. in my opinion, he wasnt that bad, he really did try everything he could, but what he did was still wrong and i do believe he should deserve some punishment. many of u might still disagree to what i said, but im just tryna voice my opinion on things
