Marronnier Farm Near by the Imperial Palace
This manhwa is just good vibes. There's not that much of conflict, there's no great political tension; it's just about a girl name Hazel (nobility still) wanting to start her own farm, and she so happens to gain land ownership to a plot of land that belongs to the Palace. So what does she do? Make her farm there! And slowly but surely, she turns these stuffy nobles that grew up in grandeur to appreciate the simpler things in life. The protagonist herself is a hardworking ray of sunshine who truly does that farmwork. It's very sweet, soft cottagecore lol. That being said, the core message of the story is that: sometimes the simpler things in life brings you more fulfillment. The manhwa focuses on farming, with a slowburn romance with the prince on the side. Speaking of the prince, he's the typical "cold but a softie underneath," though this time I do actually see the softie there through his friends. As for the prince's friend, has it not been for them, I really would have viewed him as being basic lol. But no, the friendship between him and his close group of friends are sweet, as it's shown he really do love them and want their company, so it hurts him when he sees them ignoring him (as he banned the nobles from associating with Hazel by a law lol) as they get closer to Hazel. Don't worry, this isn't a love triangle (or hexagon?); the friends love Hazel, but it's very obvious it's stemmed from respect and platonic love. The prince goes in disguise to see what this "farming noble" is like, only to slowly gain admiration for her tenacity and passion for her work. As for Hazel, she still doesn't know that the knight she's feeding is the prince that placed a ban on her, but that won't stop her from doing what she loves!
It's a simple story, and I believe that that's part of its charms. As of now, the story is still incomplete, and there may be a change in the pacing of the story where it gets more intense. But, I am perfectly with the pace of the story as is.
