I agree she can be kind of naive but in my opinion, it’s understandable that she tries to act like a hero. She has a huge amount of powers and she knows that so she’s tryna use it in a way that benefits other people. You’re basically saying “why do all these superheroes try to act like heroes”. She was never taught anything about magic since she never had the opportunity to so she probably thought that her heart hurting was just some unimportant side affect. I can see your why you feel frustrated tho.
