Honestly I’m confused Helena? What does she didn’t knew? That it was Eris is coming of age ball and that obviously she is expected to come with her fiancee? Like the prince came to her and she didn’t think “Oh that’s weird Eris isn’t supposed to be his partner?”?
He came gave you a dress that matched color with his outfit and you didn’t think “Oh if we match isn’t it gonna be the case for Eris’ outfit too?” I means she could have at least expected the dress to be the same color???
Like I get it she is powerless and forced to do whatever this stupid prince tells her to do if she wants to live decently…But come on she looks like a big hypocrite spouting those lies at Eris, she could juste tell her she is powerless because it’s true but not that she didn’t knew.

Honestly as the story goes on I’m realizing more every single time that it will be harder to have a good ending for all the characters and when I say all the characters I’m obviously including Dowun because I still believe in him (check the raws before coming at me thanks) and honestly believe he doesn’t deserve to die too, his methods are horrible for sure but there’s improvements and I think he cares for the fl whatever the nature of his feelings are…so nerve wrecking I might even stop reading because of that… ╥﹏╥

In this post I mostly wanted to talk about the character development of Dowun back in the days just like you I would have stated that I didn’t care what could have happened to him in the end, but I think we are supposed to now analyses things deeper than when we just started this story. And I obviously don’t expect people to agree with me what more upsetted me was that most answers didn’t even mention the current circumstances of the characters ? I could have gotten the same answers if I posted my comment while reading the first chapters ?

Yes like a lot of people enjoy toxicity in stories.. Like if you see Chinese comics it have so much toxic ML and the FL enjoys being treated like crap.. Don't know what's up with the authors. But few Korean comics have toxicity storyline in them.
