He wasn’t pretending purposely, Seth thought he was Anubis and just know Horus was a kid at that time I believe so he didn’t know much and he desired genuine affection which Seth gave.

I don’t think he wants to be his son, rather more likely romantic partner as of now. Where does he state he want to mainly fuck Seth? It seems to me he’s respecting Seth’s boundaries and is one of the very few who actually understands Seth. I can sort of understand why Horus would be a bit irked by Anubis, most likely he’s irked because Anubis doesn’t understanding Seth’s hardships as he does. But it’s also not Anubis’ fault he has such a horrible father (Osiris; his biological father; seed).

From what I remember, at the start horus really wasn’t trying to pretend to be Anubis but as time went on and he kept coming back to Seth he realized that Seth was mistaking him for Anubis. He even kept giving Seth alcohol so that he won’t be able to tell them apart. And I honestly don’t know if what he feels for Seth can be called respect? Seth was just someone who showed him love and affection (which Horus didn’t get from isis due to her seeking revenge on Seth tricking her into going to the labyrinth and killing Osiris but like i mean it isn’t seths fault but he should’ve explained it better to his friend like isis said rather than putting her in a difficult spot than she already was in)

Like I get what most of you mean when you say you want Horus and Seth to be together but the concept of needing someone to complete yourself or to be a substitute for someone you couldn’t/didn’t have just doesn’t sit right with me and I know there are deeper explanations for everyone’s relationship with each other but focusing on Seth and Horus would being together really solve anything?
Knowing how to love and value yourself shouldn’t come from anyone else other than you
And Horus I don’t even know what he truly wants with seth other than returning the affection he once got from him

Thank you for the info about the Seth being drunk and thinking Horus was Anubis. Horus was probably desperate for affection to the point of giving more alcohol to Seth. Nearing the ending of S1, at the trials, Seth interrupted Ra and consumed his fear of Ra just for Seth. He interrupted because he knew Seth didn’t want others to know Osiris had raped him. Horus understood him and didn’t stand by idly. I don’t recall Horus ever invading Seth’s boundaries aside from the rapey chapter where it wasn’t even him but possessed. He is nothing like his father, both just love Seth. Osiris is the crazy one here.

I see how you feel but rather than needing someone to feel complete, it’s more like needing someone by your side who’d understand you. There’s a mass difference between wanting to being understood and needing someone to feel complete. Being understood is something, I’m sure everyone needs, especially when you’re in your feelings.

Sometimes the “Loving myself” won’t always work if you think about it, you need a companion/support that encourages that “loving myself”. Just like how you can’t always do some things alone as being one, and requires teamwork.
Everyone is different, loving oneself is crucial indeed and it works differently for everyone. I also want to love myself but FOR ME, I need someone to understand me and be my by side, someone who can give me more encouragement.

I personally think he’s not just returning his affection, but being able to understand him and cherish him in his own way. Horus is very mysterious so I can’t really tell what he’s thinking but since S2 will be mainly focused on romance, I’m sure we will get a lot and our questions being answered.

I never said Horus said exactly that he wants to fuck Seth and honestly I don’t know why you’re so caught up with that but it’s pretty clear that he’s had those kind of thoughts in mind. And Horus isn’t the only one that understand Seth. During the trial you can see seth’s own wife and sister are trying to stand up for him since they know it wasn’t all his fault. And I’m not saying that Seth doesn’t need anyone. Clearly there are many people around him who cares about him but I’m saying that it’s not right to use another person to heal your problems or use them in able to make yourself feel better. I’ve seen a lot of people implying that Horus should stay by Seth’s side in order to “cure” him of his pain from Osiris but isn’t that just saying that Seth can’t take care of himself since he’s been hurt by Osiris? Seth has killed thousands of people and he’s made millions of crimes. Even if he does choose to change, it’s not like he’ll be able to live peacefully at the end since his destiny is either the sun boat or the perishing of his soul. And also. It’s funny how people overlook the fact that Seth has lived an unjust life and has ruined many innocent people just because his own life isn’t great. But I guess people believe what they want to believe I can’t do anything about that

Uh sure ig well for the most part I think the way horus feels towards Seth is pretty normal from the view point of a kid who wanted nothing but genuine love from their parent. As we’ve all read, isis does love Horus but her revenge on Seth has influenced the way she raised Horus. Although I think Horus is a very respectful man, during chapter 37 where sekhmet “controlled” Horus into raping seth, there is a scene where Horus links the way Nepthys wanted Osiris to the way he wanted Seth. But I mean I get being able to control someone who’s not a complete god yet, but nepthys is a full on god it’s not like it’s easy for her to be controlled by Sekhmet. I’m pretty sure the only thing that the mirror did was increase their lust for the people they love.(Sekhmet didn’t fully say that she was the reason those things happened so there might be another explanation to it)Therefore Horus did have thoughts about fucking Seth. It’s really not that deep when I said he wanted to fuck Seth but it’s something you can’t let go of so here’s my explanation of it. I think I understand what you mean, but it's important to keep in mind we don't know *when* exactly Horus started seeing Seth in a romantic/sexual way, rather than just as a "father figure". While it is possible to say child Horus had already developed a "childlike" crush on Seth, I don't think any of us would wans to think of the possibility that he really ever wanted him *sexually* before becoming an adult... (because, ew). And, that even sounds probable due to how Isis said Horus had managed to recover his physical growth only quite recently, since *now* we know this growth spurt happened only *because* Horus managed to somewhat get over his wish to have Seth as a "father" (in other words, that he needed to give up on his wish to have a "father Seth" in order to be able to grow up, and had only managed to do so only quite recently...). As for any indication of *when* Horus' sexual attraction to Seth started, I'd say go for the "sort of kiss" Seth gave him in chapter 14 as the first trigger, as we see Horus thinking about that again in another chapter. That might have been the starting point (and really, would you blame Horus for starting to see Seth in "that way" after that, after Seth used such an "ambiguous" method to confirm that he was breathing?). Anyway, this is all to show how the author did give us hints that there *was* a certain gradual transformation of Horus' feelings for Seth, which changed from seeing him as a "father figure" to seeing him as a potential romantic partner, and that while it is not impossible those two opposite feelings may have coexisted in him, at some point, they do NOT coexist anymore (otherwise, Horus would not have been able to recover his growth, if he still harbored any ambition of having Seth as a father figure).

As for that episode when Horus was little, I don't think it was the case that Horus kept coming back to Seth with wine, back then, but rather, that he stayed close to the drunk Seth, giving him whatever wine he could find near them, every time Seth asked, for several days (which would then make child Horus' behavior sound a lot less elaborate anda lot less deliberate or premeditated, since then it would mean child Horus also had his own safety to think of... and thus that he might have had a second motivation, or a second excuse, to keep Seth in a drunk state). Regarding that, aside from the fact that he was a kid, I think it's commendable how even as a kid he knew what he was doing was wrong, and how even as a kid he correctly identified his increasing sensation as guilt and self-hate, and came to understand that following that path was only making both himself and Seth miserable. So, even as a "human" kid, Horus came to understand how actions have consequences, and the concept of boundaries, better than many of the adults in this story.

Anyway, this was all to say that, while I do see why you would have interpreted things differently, and while I do think you had completely valid reasons for interpreting stuff the way you did, I still think these points I just mentioned are equally valid points that may help you see why other readers have seen otherwise... and I just wanted to give my own two cents on these matters.

It’s just all the same he even said he would never force himself on Seth like after he rape scene with Sekhmet and he also confessed to Anubis that he did keep giving Seth booze and inscent or whatever that’s called so that Seth would keep thinking of him as Anubis. Also there were a bunch of dead kids that Seth murdered all around him so maybe Horus didn’t want Seth to murder like the other kids idk but all I know is that Horus does feel sexually attracted to Seth and that’s not really a bad thing it’s just a bit creepy that’s all

Now that I think about it, while I don't want to see more any more of canon Neftys' bullshitting, I'd appreciate an AU where Neftys wasn't a coward, told Seth the truth *herself* and they still manage to stick together as a family... or even an AU where they managed to have a real son of their own, and she got over Osiris.
