I'd be happy if she's alive! But to my point: From the looks of it, Cheongdo didn't turn around but to his right where he heard the noise. We have no idea of knowing where exactly is the building (maybe you can reach the training center from walking backwards or to the right), and I wouldn't say he was walking further up ahead. The sound of the heavy rain could have concealed her voice, like it did the small "heuk" that she made when she was attacked. She may have also been caught off guard by the rain and then the assailant/Cheongdo doppelgänger, thinking it was him. It may have even lured her to a particular location. Anyway, if we take the situation as is, we can assume that whatever killed her is strong enough to kill her, off guard or alert.

And Jad is not weak but she isn't strong either. During the magic exams, Chris noted that she is even weaker than most trainees. Although she learned to manipulate fire with her flying magic, it would not change her mentri strength in a short time, especially if she was caught off guard by her ally.

I bet there is. They're already cute. But I hope Ilya won't be manipulative or isolate Jerry from his friends. Coz that would be over the top. But if he just beats up people who hurts Jerry, idc really.

Same the recent chapters on this are making me want to drop it

Fingers crossed. What if Ilya gets it in his head that Jerry's friends are a source of stress and make him sick? And in particular, Ilya may try to end Jerry and Karyan's friendship since K's also his suitor. I do think it unlikely Jerry will go along with any of that or for it to last long.
