I can't be the only one who think that the qualities of manhwas are deteriorating in a rapid pace. Like it's always the same old plot or just pure smut without any thought behind it. This year was so bad for bl manhwas like I loved few but nothing impactful like semantic error, never understand, lost in cloud or haunted by desire is coming out anymore. Please prove me wrong by suggesting any new manhwa that'll move me
You're right. I've been disappointed by alot of manhwas lately. I've even dropped most of it and currently keeping up with only selected few.

I don't think the quality is worse, it's just there's more webtoons in general... It's rare to find something good anyway, but now it's even more difficult.

Yes I guess you're right but I also think since bls sale easily a lot of authors just got lazy with the story and only focuses on porn. Even the character designs are getting tiring but thanks for the recommendation tho I appreciate it!
I'm reading the old stuff too haha and starting to lean more towards mangas since the plots seem bit better but they take ages to update so I'm just getting bored

Who else is low-key tired of getting smut on the very first chapter without even knowing the characters? Honestly it's getting repetitive
EXACTLY its so hard to find a slowburn with an interesting plot and good artstyle
Like what happened to building up a story? Without actually knowing the characters and their dynamics smuts feel bland and boring
You must be new to comics with a smut tag, aye? XD
Rule of thumb for anything with a smut tag, tho there are rare exceptions:
- this comic has NO to barely any plotline
- personalities are optional as long as they have a face
- fucking in each chapter is MANDATORY
- do not ever expect rhyme, reason or anything realistic in terms of behavior, thinking capabilities or emotions
- this comic is all about sex, no matter what kind or flavour of it; bonking is the only thing that matters
If you expect more than cheap amateur porn in comic form, you will be disappointed in 99,9% of all cases of these smut tagged comics.

No I'm not been here for 12 years almost and it's not unusual for smut tag to have good mahwas, a lot of my all time favorite manhwas are under smut tag. I don't have any problems with smuts, my problem lies with almost ever manhwa following the same pattern. I also think smuts are more satisfying when there's a buildup and showing the sexual tension is important to achieve that satisfaction
Then you must be simply lucky, because the norm is that smut tag means there is barely any story (as in shitty pornos).
This pattern you noticed really IS the norm of smut tagged works. XD
I will have my fingers crossed you keep finding the good stuff, you'll have much more fun that way for sure.
I like smut too but it really depends on the writing whether or not there is a satisfying build-up & reward in a story. Even sexual tension can be achieved much nicer without jumping into smut, tho the smut tag DOES allow for more rewards and better ones. Like a cherry ontop a huge glass of ice cream~
